Just couldn't pass up a deal like that. You guys know, not many oil coolers go up for sale second hand, let alone one that has all the add-ons.

End goal for the Z is an A2A supercharger setup, though that is many years in the future. Happy to get the car situated as much as possible beforehand!

Z1 transmission mount installed!

I feel a noticeable difference in gear shifting (smoother) and is it just me but the car feels more alive! LOL

I am going to have specialty Z look into doing my motor mounts. I need expertise in adjusting the Z1 motor mounts as I still have a clearance issue with the motordyne headers! Bless you all! Keep safe and have a great evening!

Fuel pump died while driving to the office. Luckily I was only about four miles from the house when it gave out. It’s been loud enough for me to notice for the better part of a week, so I guess it shouldn’t have been a surprise. At least it was easy to replace :driving:

There is a thread on here on how to do your motor mounts without pulling the motor. Worked well for me, I just needed a set of crows feet for the driver's side top mount bolt.

Man that wait was long and painful but they finally got here:icon17: I got true rear 12k front 6k rear DSG special edition 500 series coilovers from Fortune Auto.

Z_ealot 05-21-2020 08:13 PM

One of the new idler pulleys arrived, fortunately it was the replacement for the one that was giving me issues so slapped the new one in there to at least get her running and am gonna replace the other one when it gets here on Saturday.... boy does it feel good being able to drive her again though :)

BettyZ 05-22-2020 12:42 PM

Fitment only took 29 days, but I give you the Seibon TS hood: "You do the work so we don't have to."

Wow! Those Seibon guys sure know how to make a hood that fits properly! Color me impressed

Well done, sir. Looks like factory fitment  Now go :driving:

Why don't you call my ex and tell her how much you hate it? You send me funds for a new rug and I'll buy a new one. In the meantime, I've got car parts to buy

I installed a CD player in Olive’s garage. Well I say that, you cannot purchase a cheap CD player these days, so I purchased a cheap DVD player (LG from Amazon -£29 - needed stereo RCA outputs)

I “waxed”

I finished second coat of Meguiars NXT and finished with wipe down of UQD.

Just need to do inside windows and spring clean-up will be done.

Washed with Gyeon Pre wash in the foam gun and Mothers Ceramic Care wash in the buckets. There was about 12 drops of water left on the car after rinsing. One drying towel barely got damp.

Automatic tensioner arrived and was installed in short order, what a difference between the old tensioner vs new too.... new one definitely put more tension on the drive belt than the old one.

Side note:

Strangely enough, I've been having a weird issue with traction control freaking out almost every time i gunned the engine, but with the 2 new pulleys on, now that seems to have completely gone away
