Really don't know where to ask this. I want to cut a blank plate to fit in the cubby hole above the radio to mount my nitrous controller, switches etc... Anyone know where I'd be able to find a stencil?

Use a piece of cardboard, and make a mock-up. This way, you can use a couple of different pieces to see where you want the switches. This is how I'll do mine when I do my gauges. Once I settle on location. I'll transfer it to a 1/8" thick aluminum sheet. Make my holes. Then cover it.

Committed sacrilege.... But i really needed to go for a ride and selfish Mrs B needed her Subaru (normal bike transporter) for "work" and "lunch"... http://www.the370z.com/members/burnt...ack-hitch.html I tried adding a DIY bike rack hitch last week, got it centered out of fog light but it stuck out to far to cover up, will need to grind off welds and re attempt when find some time Hmmm (darn Photobucket) uploaded pics to the370 and linked them but only see blank squares.... strap on bike rack on 370z butt was the main idea, passed 75mph safety test.... 370zs are Very practical cars, don't let anyone tellyou different! http://www.the370z.com/members/burntz-albums-pics.html Also they are right side up, it's your phone/comp/ipad thingee thats upside down... ^^ Looks great! Blends/Flows well with the rest of the car. Adds a nice aggressive flare to the rear without being overdone.

Just got done washing, clay baring and waxing the Z. I love how my paint looks like it's wet. Solid Red FTW! :driving::driving:

Came out of dinner with my fiancé to see this. The owner of the Z on the left was taking pictures of the two of them together as we walked up. This is a first in five years of ownership.

Installed the sprint booster. Amazing device. Had driven a 535 with one and although its not as pronounced a change to the z as it is the luxo barge 535, its still an awesome mod. I got the check engine light though and my synchro isnt working so I might try a reset and do it again. I left the door open but I think maybe the key got in range. For the guys with the Sprint booster did it screw with your synchro settings?

Spent most of the day in Clearwater today getting the amp and speakers installed. Then on the way home, stopped by the pond to take a few quick pics... Mainly because I wanted to smell that good ole' sea air. I miss living over in that area.

Last week I deep cleaned the defrost vents in my upper dash. Here's a DIY:
Step 1. Remove windshield Step 2. Clean vents I found the easiest way to get the windshield removed was to have a rock hit it and crack it, file for insurance, and have Safelite replace it. A low comprehensive deductible is highly recommended. It also helped that the technician was super friendly and very professional and gave me a 50% discount (amounted to $50). The Z is really a pain in the a$$ for these guys compared to most every other car. So I helped him remove everything that needed to come off and then put it back with him, too. He was very appreciative, and we had good conversations while we worked  |

You're welcome. I don't out that way much either unfortunately. I need to though. Just difficult to find the time, even on my weekends off. It sucks. And thank you for the compliment! :hello: |

After 700 miles I finally got around to checking my tire pressures... They all read 45, 10 PSI high, surprised the ride wasn't more jarring. I did notice it seemed more wiggly than my last Z, probably from the tires not making full contact with so much pressure. All good to go now, feels good!

If you are running straight air, they can raise a crap load when hot. I've seen mine in the past go up near 10 pounds when real hot. |
It's really not that big a deal. I used to hypermile and run the stock Toyo tires on my 2010 Nissan Cube at 61 psi when I was driving 120 miles daily. They would get up to about 64-65 psi at most in the summer. Not to mention that they still maintained full contact patch on the road, excellent traction in the rain and wore perfectly even for the 55k+ miles I put on them. It was Bridgestone tires after that and those lasted 60k+ miles, also at 61 psi.

I pulled my GTM oil pan and reinstalled the coolant hardlines that go to the OEM Oilcooler. Going to finish putting the cooler back in tomorrow.... Turns out the thing made a pretty big difference.

Small difference in bringing the oil up to temp, big difference in oil temps warmed up. I took it off in january and it hadn't really made much difference until the summer really started going here in FL. Last weekend I took a road trip to south florida and cruising steady at 90 or so the oil would temp would level off at a solid 260 - outside temp as reported by the car was only 87 degrees. After I get the car back together Ill do a similar test to see exactly how much better it gets.. but I never had much issue in the summer prior to removing it.
One thing to keep in mind is my car is strictly a street car and doesnt see any kind of track time. |
Spent some time with my side bi$@hes.. Wash and dry https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...c35a7a340a.jpg

Scored a box for only $75 bucks yesterday. So I threw an old sub in I had sitting around. I'm pleased with the results. Now I need a nice component set.... https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...936cb245d2.jpg

I just did an oil change and the first diff fluid change since my OS Giken install. Diff had 75w90 Motul fluid. It now has 75w140 fluid with some friction modifier. It was needing to be changed. It appears I will need to change it every 10k.
Motul 75w90 is Green. Motul 75w140 is Blue. This is how you tell. |
