Are we talking Jacks or a penis pump? 🤔

JARblue 01-26-2020 08:37 AM

Google Quickjack. There are a couple of threads on this forum of people's reviews of it. I believe it's hydraulic and plugs into the wall.

QuickJack 5000. Hydraulic with air assist. Plugs into the wall. Really robust and damn near idiot-proof. You need to buy the slotted lift blocks as well. Otherwise the blocks that come with it will crumple the lift points.

But overall a great system. I'm a huge fan.

Took the nose off the Z to clean the air filters. 2 years tucked in there and they where just slightly dusty on the back side, most of the filter still looked new.

Rusty 01-26-2020 06:23 PM

I clean mine every winter. They are never that dirty.

How do you like those Continentals?

Love 'em. I got hooked on Conti's ever since I threw a set of snows on my old 350Z, and thrashed six inches of fresh powder at speed like it was hot dry asphalt. The last all-seasons lasted for 20k mi. The summers, 10k.

I'm trying a set of DWS06's on my new wheels. I'm curious to see how they stand up against the A/S +3. I hope I get more that 20k though. I've been getting 38k on the Michelins.

Cleaned the catch cans while doing other maintenance. This is what a pcv delete keeps out of the intake track. This is only the passenger side can so only half of it.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...191deed005.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...031c755073.jpg

Tried to dump it in a bottle but most of the oily goo stayed in the funnel. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...6f8ef8a8f0.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...21e3b74e17.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...5669497714.jpg

I think part of it is the 90/10 gas we have in Il. Hard to find no ethanol around here

We been selling a lot of the 7,000 lb models. Had one come in today as a special order. This is like the 3rd one since the first of the year. $1,100 plus taxes.

Finished installing a Boosted Performance turbo kit..

She started right up. No leaks. Big thanks to the forum and Sasha for making it happen

Today was a small push to the big turbo Z project!

Started the day by removing the whole front cooling system, so oil cooler and trans cooler! In addition, I will hopefully be dropping the engine tomorrow all by myself. Hopefully I can get some footage for y'all on the thread and show y'all how we do it in Miami.:rofl2:

Unsure of what to buy first for the project, either get turbo and or go for something else first! what yall think?

Repainted the engine cover a Gloss Apple Red that closer resembles the NISMO one. The prior color was too dark IMO:rolleyes:

Track day

Took the Z to the track to get a baseline before she goes into the shop next month for the supercharger build. Something odd did happen. Showed up to the track at half tank plus one dot. The gas station across the highway where I planned to top off stopped selling premium.

So, I ran it with what I had but since I just wanted a baseline and I didn’t want to burn through these set of tires, I was only going to run maybe a dozen laps or so, spread out into the next few hours since I have to alternate with my friends who had motorcycles.

At the same point of the track, the engine would sputter and die at WOT to accelerate out of the turn. Almost every single time, unless I let off the gas and basically coast through that section or feather the throttle at around 4K through this section.

I first suspected it was the yaw sensor which, stepped in a few times through out the day. I did look at the tachometer and saw that I was only at around 6.5k rpm when it cut off until eventually turning off. I wait a few seconds, start it again and it’s fine for the rest of the lap. Until next lap, when I get to the same area.

The section between the two blue lines

It’s not the engine/oil temp. I wasn’t running her hard enough and the hottest I got that day was just around 240 deg F. I thought it was yaw sensor but I was kinda going straight if not an ever so shallow turn trying to go WOT.

Fuel starvation at half tank or less from the constant right turn with some small dips?

Rusty 02-02-2020 06:29 PM

Fuel starve. Hard right turn is all it takes. Some get fuel starve at 3/4 full tank. :icon14:

Rusty 02-02-2020 07:19 PM

2 fixes. The Z1 kit or phunk's CJM RRP kit, which I have. I have run the fuel gauge down to one dot and it still didn't starve with phunk's kit. :driving:

TheFLiP 02-02-2020 11:57 PM

Thanks for the replies. Just ordered the Z1 Anti-Fuel Starvation kit and had it shipped to the shop for install with the new fuel pump that will go with the supercharger kit.

Make sure one that isn't on the overflow reservoir is just a cap.

The surface of my car has already been prepped and is free of contaminates so I used the Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray. I alternate that with Chemical Guys Hydroslick. Another easy on easy off product and the shine is AMAZING!!!!

I need some input on a sense of direction to go with my car. Should I go with the Nismo front bumper, leave it like it is, or what? Wheels? Aftermarket vs OEM Rays??? Whats the feelz about OEM?

The reason I haven't made a move on the above is if I put the Topgunz SC kit on the car. I'll need to move funds in that direction instead.

Its whatever you want to do. Pick a mod and go for it. Just try to refrain from double buying mods. Dont buy a new lip now if you want to upgrade to a nismo bumper later. don't buy test pipes if you're going to get longtubes. Get your vision and go for it. Make up a plan of attack first, however, so you don't screw yourself over later.

Zyonara91 02-20-2020 08:33 PM

Literally walked into the garage, checked if the trickle charger wire was connected still. Opened the car, smelled the interior (shredded some Irish spring in the car to keep the damp smell out) and then I rolled the car back so I don't develop any flat spots. Hope this all clears up by April.
