New VR engine in same 370z body for 2017?

I don't understand what's so hard about dropping the new VR in the existing 370 -- Obviously I know very little about this subject, but wouldn't modifying the 370z engine

And just give the thing a face lift and you're done. Sounds easy to me (relative to developing a completely new car).
