look at the tenability of a GT-R or BMW 335. couple breathers and a tune and you're gaining 100WHP most cases.

the problem with boost and the current Z is that we're boosting a factory N/A motor. usually never ends well. but a boosted factory motor would be nice to play with and help us in the long run.

if Nissan builds a block as solid as the GT-R's for the Z it'll have great potential.
Maybe youre right...I just imaging my old 370 with 70 more HP...sweet. But having a 3000 pound car with 332 HP certainly makes a good argument too.

I hear all new Nissan cars will only come with CVT, minus the GTR....

TT 400hp is enticing, but I think there'd have to be several other design changes to get me into another Z.

Maybe... and no price increase.

I think Nissan is smart enough not to do that, though I tend to agree that the auto will probably be pushed more next generation. The manual is good, but better tech, ease to drive, etc will turn the tide for people to just buy the auto. Heck, even one of my friends who is 100% manual guy got to take out a c7 with the 8 speed auto and came back saying he does not want to drive his manual vette anymore.

yea the advances in auto tech and refining it all is finally coming to cars other than the top Italian supercars.

as for Nissan look at every 15 nismo I've seen at the shows or press release kinda thing is always the 7AT tech with nav. they are pushing the new features hard for it.

Nissan has provided a pretty good NA platform to boost with this HR motor. Plenty of guys pushing over twice the factory rating. The key is proper tuning.

yea with e85.

none of those builds would hold 600 stock block as solid without it. tuning is a huge factor but on pump gas I don't think it would be the same.

And E85 is not magic. At some point you are just dealing with stress from the pressure regardless if its running cooler.

yes but most people on pump typically are tuned to 550whp for safety reasons which i'm not mad at. that's a lot of power and from what I've seen a safe number for a stock block.

Geez...I wouldn't even buy a 2015 GTR at $85K. If I was hellbent on getting a GTR I'd get the R32 GT-R. That's the classic one!
