Default Car will not start

My car will not start. I already changed my my key fob battery and the car battery has recently been changed (5000 miles ago). It's like the car is not registering the key. I haven't tried my spare key yet, still stuck at work.

There is an icon showing a yellow key in the dash board. It's been on for a week already. But my car has been starting and running perfectly until now.
Any ideas?

Car had 57000 miles. 2011.

I do have a remote starter (6month old). Don't know if it contributes to the issue or not.

That must be frustrated. The only think I can think so is disconnect the battery, wait 5 minutes and reconnect and see what happens. Also try to insert the key on the little key hole on the left side of the dash to see if that helps?

My Z is out of warranty. So I took another owners advice and fist banged the steering column and it popped out. Didn't hesitate a second to pull the fuse after.
