Don't forget the S-04 Bridgestones. To me, this is the perfect DD tire. Still works pretty well in the cold. Dry and wet traction is VERY good! Quiet too. Price is very reasonable.

The re-11 may be a good tire but it's also a bit of overkill for a dd tire. I mean a r comp pure slick may be a great summer tire and have awesome grip but will you really notice it driving down...

interesting, several good reviews(not many miles though) treadwear is 260 vs 300 MPSS,,,might be a contender..their about $100 cheaper per tire,,something to condsider.

There is far more to a tire than just tread pattern. The tire construction and rubber compounds are very important for performance. I'd go with the Bridgestone RE-11. It is a well proven tire. ...

Well the pss aren't made for track use either but can still see occassional track days so that would put it in the same catagory at least I think they both fall in the same (max performance summer).
