I was comparing the pressure with the vacuum and even with same amount of vacuum pressure I was seeing differences in fuel pressure ...reading from the gauge ...and I was never getting a lean...

It is possible that the pump is getting a voltage drop causing lean condition ...but it would also show a dropping fuel pressure ..have you monitored the fuel pressure during the run ...if pressure...

UPDATE- I know this is a old thread ..but I did find the noise .. it was the rack and pinion ..loosen all the bolts and re-torqued them down and haven’t had the noise since.

Spark Plugs
When I went boosted I used the OEM plugs for over a year with no issues ...I did switch over to gtr plugs ....how ever I believe the gtr plugs are one step colder and more resistant to detonation
