I would also leave a nice steaming pile of scat on GTM's door step also because it's probably from break down and reassembly of you're S/C kit. But that's good

This was going on before GTM, but I've been gone so it went from passable AC to nothing since 07/2012. I did grab my car yesterday and had a good talk with Joe., the GTR master tech who took care of my car. He found a very small oil leak, swapped my ATE super blue for GTR fluid, because he saw I had a maintenance plan (hell, I didn't know I had one), replaced my cabin filter, fixed the AC of course and offered to help with anything else with the car. I know where to take my ride here in PHX. I almost wanted it to be hot yesterday so I had a reason to use it.

Sweet...did you ask him about there being a possible vacuum leak?

He said he would need more time with the car to figure everything out.

Met a guy at the pavilions who has a shop that focuses on Z's and G's. He offered to look at my car for free this past Sunday. I showed up and he was true to his word. Unfortunately they couldn't find the problem either. He mentioned the car looking fine under vacuum and couldn't find any leaks. We also went through all the maps. He went for a ride along and confirmed power was definitely down.lol. they said if I wanted to bring it in Wednesday or Thursday, they will take the bumper off and start looking at the BPV's and everything up front. For 75 an hour, that beats the gas and time to take it to GTM. One thing I did notice was when I floored it and looking at the boost gauge, it would get to the 4-5 psi mark and not move. The was no progressive rise after, it just stopped.

I'm still thinking leaking bypas -- probably not fully closing (I think I incorrectly said sticking open -- but really it's probably not closing all the way, so boost is bypasssing the IM entirely, which I'm guessing is where you measure it (or at the IC?).

BPV's set to softest setting. How in the blu f@cking horse balls does that happen? No one touched it since I took delivery. Will have more info soon.

Edit: driver side BPV tube was loose as well. They're telling me definitely over 450whp, but not for sure on if it's over 500whp on a mustang Dyno. This is of course using a butt dyno

Edit: car picked up. Oil temps were sitting at 240 and not really dropping. My oil is full, albeit needs a change. My fans were kicked on. Maybe they thoroughly tested it. I'll have to wait till tonight or tomorrow morning to gauge improvement.

Can a spring soften up after enough compression cycles and heat cycles? And if it's a bad BPV it's an easy, cheap fix compared to the alternatives.

So glad this sounds to be a cheap fix and you can enjoy your car again. Chuck I have had BPVs stick but never noticed any significant spring tension loss. Not saying it can't happen but I don't think to this extent this quick.

BPV's fail all the time, lose tension in the mechanism, stick, lose full range or reliable actuation... I've had it happen twice on my old roots blown Celica, so I got in the habit of always having a spare on hand.

Whistling noises, lost boost, vac leak or slight boost at idle... anything like that is usually traceable back to a bad bypass not actuating properly.

Glad it turned out to be not too big a deal -- good luck on final numbers

So, my butt Dyno says there is an improvement. I'm thinking I need a tune still. When the shop was logging, they were reading 10-10.5AFR, something low. I'm wondering if the ecu adjusted its self, but I haven't seen it get this rich before. I'll do some logging of my own, stupid uprev cable is acting up. I want a replacement. POS. And thanks to everyone helping me go through this automotive hell. I need to update with more pics n vids soon instead of troubleshooting!

Nothing new. Finally got her in a garage after nearly a month outside. It's been he'll keeping her clean. I'm putting more miles on cuz I don't have a DD yet. Hoping to get the RRP in in the next few weeks.

I did fine a brand new magma red Nismo in a Scottsdale dealership... If I had the spare change to pick it up. I thought they would all be gone, it's a small ray of hope lol.
