I'm sorry my friend, but those edges look horrible around the roof and pillars. I would have had him wrap it around. Dust, wax residue and all sorts of other things are going to get stuck there and make that line very visible. Add in the fact that he cut the bumper by mistake, then I would conclude that he was not a very experienced installer which explains why he talked you out of wrapping the edges.
