Good to see everyone today! Ron just left my house a few minutes ago. His car looks great now with 20mm spacers all around.

aniceh 03-16-2013 06:57 PM

m4a1mustang 03-16-2013 06:59 PM

I think performance mods slowing your car down is the true mod install fail. ;)

That's not what your boyfriend said last night.

Masa 03-16-2013 09:32 PM

I'll post pics of herra frush stance y0 tomorrow when there's light out.

With the Super Derps there is like a 1 finger gap now between fender and tire sidewall.

m4a1mustang 03-16-2013 10:33 PM

Yeah it really does look good now. When he was following me home those base 18s were tucked in so tight. Now they are just right.

Also his wheels look good now that we put the spacers on.

I'll start going to Fairfax again once the weather turns.

If the weather holds I'm totally pulling my coolant tank tomorrow. Wish me luck.

m4a1mustang 03-17-2013 07:13 AM

Mark, who did your headlights? I'm thinking about sending mine somewhere to be cleaned out, re-sealed, and polished.

Are they that bad?

m4a1mustang 03-17-2013 08:28 AM

Yeah, man. The passenger side seal is completely busted, so it needs to be opened up and cleaned out, resealed, then polished. The driver side seal is good but just needs a polish (which I can do myself).

I'm just trying to determine if it would be worth it to attempt to DIY or pay someone to do it. I can get an OEM replacement for $400.

m4a1mustang 03-17-2013 08:31 AM

From a convenience aspect (It's my DD) it makes more sense for me to pay the $400 and then sell the old one as a fixerupper. It's probably worth $150-200 based on what I see them going for on Ebay with cracks in the housing.

ZCarMan 03-17-2013 08:33 AM

Hey all, I just got a text from Shelton (350Z TT) owner who I met at the Columbia meet last weekend. He says the Import Face-off is today at Capitol Raceway from 11AM to 6PM. Registration for show is $30.00 but less to spectate. Registration is from 10AM to 12PM.

Import Face-Off - Official Website

Pat and I are going to go and check it out since I've missed the last two years.

dmhenderson 03-17-2013 10:35 AM

Yeah a bunch of guys I know are going to that. I'm not going to make it. I have two project plans and a ~swim lane diagram~ I need to complete before tomorrow morning plus I promised the GF we'd go out and do the st patrick's day thing.

Very nice Ron.

My favorite is the finger pic. :yum:

dmhenderson 03-17-2013 12:44 PM

Yeah I rolled the dice when I pulled the trigger on spacers but the end result is awesome. Looks great!

Anyone have any insight on this message? I was a quart low on oil so I topped it off last night and now it's back. I've never seen this message before and while the oil isn't due for a change yet this has me concerned.

Usually means you've reached the mileage limit for the oil change. You should be able to reset it from the maintenance menu (it's on the same page where you reset the clock).

There is an internal maintenance timer. Likely, it expired, and it's like, "CHANGE MEH, BEOTCH"

If you dont actually need a change, just go in and reset it.

If you're not looking for them to paint or install LEDs it will be stupidly cheap

Yeah you guys are both right, you can actually set it kinda like a timer.. 3000 miles, then alert me.. kinda deal.

4r3s 03-17-2013 02:00 PM

Yep it's just a trip meter. I've always used me nav systems reminders so I'm not sure what made this turn on now. Also looks to be a coincidence that I was a quart low but will have to keep an eye on it. 50k miles is to few miles to be burning oil like this and I'm not seeing any signs of leakage anywhere.

4r3s 03-17-2013 02:02 PM

AAM did my last service for all the other fluids so maybe they turned it on.

My only concern at this point is down time.
