You could probably afford a GTR on 70-80k a year if you saved up like... A 50% deposit.

The maintenance would kill you though.

Service costs on that car are asinine.

Yeah that's why I decided to just start out with a bigger house instead of a smaller one. Buy a nice sized house now and then never have to get another one.

well just to warn you, there is no house that will be a forever house unless ur a crazy baller.. the longer you live in a house the more things you will find that u wanna change, until u finally decide to get a different house.. trust me, remember i flip houses on the side... my current house i bought to stay in for a while.. after i got done remodeling it i was content for about a year.. now im like i need something different...lol..

dmhenderson 03-13-2013 09:46 AM

I have a condo and don't want kids. Even if I were to buy something else, is just rent the condo.

Its the ideal time to flip houses with the housing market rebounding.

if you do the work yourself like i do, then yes.. but u have to be careful on what you buy where u buy it etc... there is a lot more to it than buying a house putting paint on it and then trying to sell it....

Yeah I'll have to deal with that when/if the time comes. I'm looking to buy one of the new houses they're building in my area, so I should at least be able to customize it to my liking in the beginning.

So, back to actual club business... the next time we have good weather at a Fairfax meet I think we should drive over to Madigans in Occoquan for lunch.

Nice juke man. I like them a lot.

Also I'm quite jelly of you guys and your incomes. :/ but then I remember you all have been working much longer than me haha. If I wasn't forced to move out two years ago due to unforseen circumstances I wouldve had gtr and it'd be almost paid off. But that's life I suppose.Lol

Never compare your own financial situation to someone else's. You have no idea what type of debt those people could be in or what kind of money they were born into. Be happy with what you have, and be happy for others having what they have. Life is much more enjoyable this way.

Also, the cost of living in PA is a lot cheaper than it is in MD. So someone making 50K in PA could be banking it and someone making 50K in MD could be totally slumming it. Everything is relative.
