drop in filters do not add power, if you gain any power, its from you going from a dirty filter to a clean one, all drop in filters are good for are not having to replace your air filter as often and you can clean it instead of replacing it

EDIT: someone necrod this thread
They do add power in a 370z my friend. Not so for many other vehicles though.

Sure looks like it adds power.
Chuck I dig the fact that when you argue with some one you always bring links to the facts to back up your point.

Default Only regret

My only regret is not doing it sooner!
Actually the only pain I see is having to remove your bumper to clean the filters.

From my understanding, you do not have to clean the Stillen G3 CAI filters. Hence, no need to remove the bumper again.

I'm not sure where u heard or read this, but these filters do require cleaning....K&N recommends cleaning the filters every 50K miles....

I read it somewhere on this forum, on a number of posts regarding Stillen Gen. 3 CAI. I'll see if I can dig it up when I have more time.

K&N sells a recharge kit at autozone for $23, I do mine whenever I do my oil twice a year. But I cut slits in my bumper so they get dirty pretty quick now.

Request who this said person is and proof so we can take that post down as to never have this conversation again.

Me too, i just left out the washer fluid thing for now.

Also injen's are 3" except for the little maf part.

could possibly modify the injen maf part to be 3" , but you would need to tune it after. Theres a guy doing this for nissan engines.

I'm not sure what thread you're talking about.....but it really makes no sense for the filters not to be cleaned....even the stock filters which are covered in an airbox require replacement and cleaning at the very minimum....Just like all filters....

Here are some threads that clearly refer to the filters needing to be cleaned.

Cleaning stillen G3 cai

Oiling the filter on stillen gen 3 intake?
