Anyone have stillen gen3 intake regrets?

Is there anyone that bought this intake that regrets getting it? (Having to modify the hole size so the pipe can fit through) ... I went to get it installed and I was told I would regret doing it because the intake would be rattling and become annoying to cope with. Just looking for some feedback from people that have it on their car and how they like it.

Thanks
Njobe

No. Tell your shop to die.

Make sure they cover the AC LINES!!!

That's the only intake to have. You need to go to another place

Nope, DIY or another shop, great first mod, or second or third :)

I had one on my '09 that was purchased with the car, no issues, rattles, or otherwise. I have another coming this week for my '13 and expect the same.

I love mine so far. Great looks and great sound. It also registered on the butt dyno too.

wasn't there a "do you regret <X>" thread that all the other regret threads got merged to? :icon17:

Don't install it. Give it to me. I like rattling stuff.

I went injen over stillen because I didn't want to cut the hole. Injen requires a washer fluid bottle swap (included) to make room. I like it.

only regret i have is that i didnt get my G3 sooner

Had my Stillen G3 CAI and catback exhaust system installed last week. No rattles :tup:

Dollar for Dollar and bang for the buck, I've heard that K&N drops ins do everything the G3's do except for about 3hp and some noise. But I dont have any dyno sheets or personal experience on my own car to back this up only a friend who did these mods and stated he couldnt not feel a difference on the butt dyno. I rode in his car also, they sound louder but thats it. You decide; $75 on a pair of drop ins or a couple hundred for the G3's.

I hope everyone's answer is "no regrets"! I install mine today. It looks nice and always had good luck with Stillen products on my Frontier. The exhaust for the Z is perfect IMO.

hey man, what shop did you take it to?

check out zatlanta on facebook. large group and can direct you to a number of really good shops in the ATL area, who won't say anything silly like what your shop did.
