Best way to go for power/tq and little noise?

Don't get me wrong, I have this exact setup with stock cats and stock intakes and I love the sound, but my wife can hear my car on a cold start two stories above our underground parking garage.

This exhaust system is prolific enough that you should have little trouble finding another member in your area that has a similar setup and then you can judge for yourself.

If you buy it and later decide you dont like it, then it is easy to re-sell too.
Everyones got an opinion. My definition of loud is just different then yours. I rock AAM Short tails & I don't think thats very loud. Some people say its a 8 or 9/10 loudness. I would say its about a 6 or a 7.

The fast intentions 18" I would rate in at around a 4 or 5.
With TP's or HFC's its a 6 or a 7.
With 12" resonators + Tp's or HFCs its a 7 or an 8.

I think a ten is short tails plus test pipes or straight piped with test pipes.

Thats not to say that I dont think Fast Intentions is the best exhaust for the z, because I think it is. OP just asked about loudness and price, so i suggested those because they are relatively quiet with good gains.

So that means no high flow cats, no test pipes, etc..

You didn't mention the type of car that you have, but im going to assume base or sport 370z.

Intakes yield good gains. K&N dropins + MAF Tubes = 16whp compared to Stillen g3s 18whp

QUIETER EXHAUSTS with gains:
Fast Intentions 18" Resonator
Stilen Catback
CNT Catback
Nismo Exhaust

Do some searching on here buddy...
16 whp? I thought it's about 5 whp from the drop-in alone. The z1 tubes was declared no HP gains. But yes, K&N drop in is definitely the best bang for your buck. My butt dyno approves

Loud or not, the AAM short tails sound amazing!

There have been a couple old '09-10 threads about the drop ins plus maf tubes.

K&Ns claim +15hp=4-5whp. Dyno proves this to be accurate.
Maf Tubes=dyno proved 6-8whp.
When paired, i would guess both give you about 10-12whp. With a tune (which you would do with multiple bolt ons) you'd yield around 16whp..

Idk, I think the stock airboxes are decent and I like my setup! NickTurnon Approved.
