Look, I love the guys at performance, but the dyno reads high, I don't know if they do it on purpose or not. All that matters is delta, with basic bolt ons (intake, exhaust, hfc or test pipes) plus a tune, you can expect ~40hp increase over whatever your car made baseline. Well look at Black Nismo. After his TT install he dynoed close to 490 wheel. I saw on another thread that he took the car to VTR and dynoed like 496. What dyno does VTR use? Cause it pretty much matched the one at Performance.

Forget dyno talk and numbers. Dyno's are different. Numbers will be different. All seem to be within a certain range anyways. None of these numbers are going to matter on the street. The driver makes the car.

If you want a real comparison, then runs it down a drag strip and look at your trap speed, who ever is highest is making the most power. most stock z 's are around 103 to 105 mph, im @ 114.5

VTR uses a dynojet, a dynojet and a mustang with the same results should tell you something. Mustang dynos typically read lower than dynojets, this one doesn't. You can either accept that the dyno reads high or keep trying to explain to everyone else how you made so much power, up to you.

Very true. This is why a lot of the higher hp guys (Supras, Vettes, Porsches, etc) like to compare 60-130 mph numbers. It eliminates some of the traction issues you could get when doing 1/4 mile, 1/8 mile or 0-60 mph testing. I say some traction issues because there's not much you can do if your car puts down upwards of 1000 whp.

My old 2004 Ford Lighting put down 486/510 on a Dynojet. 11.88 @ 114.49. That was one hell of a ride......in a straight line at least.

That difference has gotta be all due the VVEL.

Dammit. C'mon GTM -- bring out that VVEL controller already!

Oh and whoever thinks they're putting down 330-340 NA... yeah... that's an awfully optimistic dyno.

We need an insider from Nissan to leak the VVEL info to GTM. Can't wait until that is available!

I'm somewhat surprised there's not a Euro "Nismo R" model that has some sort of forced induction from the factory. Maybe in the future? It would be able to obliterate the Cayman S and run with the M3 and still cost less...
