Default Meisterschaft GTS: quiet it down some?

Ok I think I made a BiG mistake with my choice of parts! I decided to install ERZ HFC's and this exhaust. Big mistake! I sound like a F1 racecar every time I drive off from a stop light. Any moderate gas and it screams. Normal driving and keeping the rpms under 3K is descent. Syncro rev match is OFF as it screams every time the rpms go up! I should of left my stock cats on! But I had to mutilate one to remove it (demon bolt!) So now I am stuck with my HFC's and need to decide what to do. I am thinking I might just have to get the Stillen CBE and call it a day. I really don't want this kind of attention and any fix it tickets!

So my question is, what can be done to quiet it down some other than stock cats? Would resonators added to the mid pipes help?

As a side note this exhaust is top notch! Fit is 100% perfect and the quality is amazing! I really want to keep it but it's just too loud for my taste.

Hahah sorry dude to laugh at your expense but Im sure you have read that that particular exhaust is one of the loudest money can buy? HFCs will definitely make it even louder! I hope you find a fix, thats a costly mistake!

If you like the cat-back, I think I saw somebody selling stock cats in the classifieds!

From the look of the thread in the classifieds SophiaZ still has her stock cats for sale. $100 shipped is a pretty good deal IMO

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. But I am tempted to get the FI or Stillen CBE and keep my cats. Is the sound ok with that setup? From what I have seen on youtube its good.

I hear the FI drones with HFC's, I have the Berks with my Stillen and it sounds AMAZING.

Maybe try putting just the stock muffler back on and leave the rest see how it sounds...

Thats what I am leaning on. I will most likely take a big hit but as long as I cover getting a CBE I will be happy. I think I am going with the Stillen. I hope there is a special coming around the corner, ill call them up.

Well this is an interesting story. I was just thinking about doing just that! I was planning on keeping my stock just in case I had to revert back for some odd reason (LOL), and it turns out the Auto Hobby shop on the air base threw it all in the scrap box (for grabs box) instead of holding it for me to pick up in the morning like I asked them too! So it's all gone.... just my luck
