Their's is way more expensive than the Z1. I think anything will be an improvement over OEM and I would not worry about the flex pipe. To each their own as I have been running a FI exhaust without any issues for five plus years. I have seen lots of exhaust where the flex pipe ends up damaged and gets holes in them. $300 is a pretty cheap upgrade.
