Blown Motor, Engine Rebuild/Replacement.

Get some tape, roll it up into a long tube and shove it into the plenum. THen you can shake it or use the compressed air and blow it inside till it all sticks on the tape.

Mail it in to Z1 and use it as a core for their super secret manifold mod?

I wonder how well they'll hold 15-18PSI though with that much plastic taken off

I doubt they remove that much material, but they're being unnecessarily secretive. I'm pretty sure its a light cleanup inside.

I debated on the water method but just didn't want to have it air dry to possibly get contaminates inside.. This is the first time hearing about the z1 secret surprise. The last time I was there my secret surprise was a blown motor.. No more surprises for me!!! lol

Now that sounds like a cool idea but still no way of knowing its is all out... Just one little metal fragment could scar the cylinder wall.. I believe I read somewhere that the stock plenum could be opened but it wasn't easy. Wish we had more options on aftermarket plenums...

Can't open it unless you have a hot knife... A few days out in the sun will dry it out for sure. And/or I bet you can put it in the oven for a decent amount of time at 200-250 degrees then blow it out. Maybe repeat once or twice?

Hate to say it but I may have too. The intake runner I will wash and dry really good and also inspect the turbo's Really well. I remember when it blew there were fragments that came out of the exhaust...

Make sure to inspect the heads as well. If u had an oil cooler check that as well. Make sure loose fragments all cleaned up.
