Default GTM Racelogic Traction control Review

There as been a lot of discussion about traction on the forums with boosted Z's.I get pm's all the time about the 3.3 final drive and then you have the tire discussion thread. So I decided to make a quick little video of my car with the GTM Racelogic traction control. I installed the traction control system in January and I have not had the time to really test it yet.

Here is my set up

Car is lower on swift springs
3.3 final drive
305/30/19 RE-11 in there Rear

Racelogic Key features
1.The ability adjust 1% increments from 0%-25% allowing the driver to dial in the perfect setting for there car. Now there are many factor's that contribute to this tire's/suspension weather condition's.This can be done on the fly just by turning the knob

2. 2 Step launch control allows you to build boost of the line and adjust how much slippage you want.

Low boost 600whp 545tq
45 Degrees outside

I decided to mount the unit next to the steering wheel for easy access to the unit for using the launch control and setting the slippage percentage. I have seen pictures of the unit mounted in the glove box, for me that would be a pain because every time you start the car the system reverts back to the wet setting.

In the video I am doing a 5500 rpm launch with the 2 step that comes with the system. Once it get's a little warmer I will take some more footage the Racelogic is a great system.

Did you go with the no lift shift by chance? I am excited to try mine out. No blowing off boost between shifts sounds win win.

Wow that's really nice! So you can just hold down on the pedal to launch?

How is it coming out of a corner?

You set the rev limiter you want and it will hold the car at the RPM until the clutch is released, then once released it will control your wheel slip to the desired percentage.

Mr. Squeeze, did you by any chance have a 2step with uprev before going with the Racelogic system? Just wondering if there is a massive difference or if you could even compare the two. I know the uprev isn't a true 2 step and I know the racelogic system has a lot more going on just curious is all.

I got the 2 step with the Racelogic system Uprev doesn't have launch control.
If your talking about the valet map that Uprev that Uprev has there a big difference.

I do not have the no lift feature right now and according to the manual you have to install a clutch switch for it to work. The switch has to be install on the clutch pedal where the contact makes or breaks when the clutch is depressed. This is something I am looking to do full throttle shift's and holding boost would make the car faster.

I haven't tested it coming out of a corner yet because it's still not warm enough outside. As it gets warmer I will be doing more testing with the system.

I posted a thread on it a while ago with a video from Uprev themselves. Uprev can two step...sort of. Like I said I know its completely different and im sure its not even comparable was just wondering if you played with it at all.

It's just a map change that shifts fuel cut lower.. it's not a two step, at all.

It will just surge up to the limit, then slowly drop back down and then surge back up, over and over with about 2-3 seconds between surges. AND you have to be holding your buttons on the steering wheel in just the right sequence in order to trigger the map change at exactly the right moment. It's totally useless.

I would like to see this video if you don't mind posting a link. To me it sounds like your talking about the valet where you set a map at a certain rpm floor it then pick your performance map hold and let got.

Put it this way this in the video that I just posted I dropped the clutch at 5500 rpm's and floored it building about 5-6 pounds of boost. This was done on cold tires in 45 degree weather if I try this without the Racelogic I get massive wheel hop. Look at my low boost graph and how much torque I make on low boost.

14 PSI

Yes it is useless I use this for when I park at the valet. I have tried this at the track in my 350z and it flat out sucked.

Okay I didn't know what you meant until you put it that way. We are talking about the same thing with uprev

But seriously, holy torque batman. So much so early. It really is impressive how well it puts down all of that power.
