Its a good IRS, it just doesnt lend to traction with power. Corvettes, Vipers, etc, MUCH better. There is a reason you never see Z/G with appropriate 1/4 mile times, or accomplishing much of anything that involves acceleration.

roplusbee 01-16-2014 09:00 PM

But that will change as time goes on...........and I am sure that you and a few others will have something to do with that change

phunk 01-16-2014 09:38 PM

I agree... I think the 370z storm is just beginning to brew.

09nismo498 01-16-2014 09:58 PM

Phunk your out of west Chicago? Man that's right by me...

FYI, got an email from Sam, and he said he'll send an update to the progress of the kits before the week ends. Said "things are moving forward nicely".

Thought I'd share!

I'm getting married in the end of March... gotta get the kit installed and tuned while I've got some financial freedom! ha

Mkai0 01-18-2014 12:04 AM

Glad to hear things are moving along nicely with the TT Kit. Good news for me too, I got my refund from GTM today!

Alstann 01-18-2014 11:24 AM

it is in the works as we are doing few in house installs right now , it is ganna be very close to the current one we have now minus the tapping of the oil pan

Sam

09nismo498 01-19-2014 07:25 PM

cool also, just curious.. for the people that went with the powder coated black intercooler piping option, will that delay the kit very much after everything else is completed?

Not at all , powder coating usually takes four to five days so we still can do it if you want without causing any further delay . you still have time

Sam

09nismo498 01-19-2014 07:33 PM

perfect, yea, i added that to my order when i sent you my last payment a couple months ago, so please make note of that, thanks!

Ok, will do.

Sam

09nismo498 01-19-2014 07:54 PM

so once the 2.5 piping is done, are you going to start shipping kits? or are you waiting until all parts are received and ship them all at once? just curious, sorry for being a major pita with all these questions lol

Heey! Why Sam didn't send me email about V3 GTX turbo kit!

1slow370 01-19-2014 09:04 PM

My guess is that with all animosity they will probably ship kits as soon as they get the parts in for them.

:happydance::happydance::happydance:

Sam, I'm glad to say I stuck around and kept patiently waiting. I'm very excited for the delivery in the kit. I'm sure many others can agree, and are very happy. It's been a long while, but I have faith GTM will deliver. :tiphat:

Thanks for the quick update Sam.
I didn't actually realise that the RHD cast parts were any different. I assume that its the exhaust manifolds that need to be slightly different to fit?

I meant to send you guys an email about this ages ago. I had planned on getting a few things ceramic coated here in Perth before installation. Do you guys offer this as well or just powder coating?

Can't wait to get my hands on the installation manual so that I can start preparing. Is there much (if any) difference between the LHD and RHD installation process?

Sam, to my understanding you are offering the Garrett Turbos for this kit, correct? If so, they are ball bearing turbos and so the return lines must be above the oil level. If you don't tap the oil pan, where would the oil return lines go to ?

Sam. Also, hopefully we don't have to relocate the power steering gear with a new coupler like the earlier turbo kit? Please confirm

Kit comes with the 8qt oil pan pre-fitted for oil return.

Straight from GTM-

There is no drilling and tapping of the cylinder head or upper oil pan with this new kit and no scavenge pump required.

The factory steering system remains intact.

The GTM MHI Kit comes with a baffled oil pan that has one-way anti-slosh valves. This alleviates the need to drill and tap the upper oil pan while simultaneously improving engine oil control and capacity.

Here in Aus, we get RE11's standard with the 19" wheels, we don't have options on the 370z's, they all come fully loaded with the best of everything.

I know that. All I need to know are the oil return lines fittings at the pan above the engine oil level or below. I hope they are above because if not, the ball turbo bearing might smoke. It's OK if you have the bushing type shaft like the MHI to have the return lines below the oil level. So, I am just concern about this issue. THank you

That's good that we don't have to mess with the power steering gear, the head and taking out the crash bars like the last kit. Thank you for letting me know.

Thanks for that.
Any particular reason you decided against it?

09nismo498 01-20-2014 08:03 PM

I've done it before on other vehicles, by a couple different places, and it always seems to crack rather easily in my experience. have had a few friends that had the same problem. so for me, i decided against it.

Neo187H 01-22-2014 07:37 PM

So now that multiple people have requested refunds can we get a list of who has requested and who has gotten their money? As well as a date of when requested and when it was returned

1. Neo187H requested 1/22 not yet refunded

DOOMMONKEY777 01-22-2014 08:35 PM

Currently the project is over 6 months behind only accounting for the delays since they got the money, if memory serves it's close to a year behind if you take into account all of the delays and ignoring everything else going on with this.

When you're showing "Finished" dyno graphs of this kit running and tell people it will be shipping approx 1 month after they take your money it's a LITTLE hard to swallow waiting another 6 months and still not having anything concrete as far as ship dates go.

no disrespect but maybe you shouldn't have gave them your money until the kits were shipping if you were so worried about it...

puckshaw 01-22-2014 08:48 PM

Yes this is clearly the customer's fault.

Been waiting on my refund since 11/15.

Dzel 01-22-2014 09:22 PM

I love when people come in here and post every 5 months like they know what everyone has been through with this.
