Day 30-I'm getting fed up waiting for my money back, and speaking to Sam almost twice a day. I'm trying to take the higher road and not spill the beans about the situation, but it's about to end quickly...

Excuse after excuse, I'll just keep it at that for now. If businesses didn't carry on this way lawyers would be poor. It's too bad you had to go through your bank instead of GTM to get your money. It is obvious they are currently BROKE!

I wanted to let you guys know what I want in this thread 1: Posting by GTM about product update 2: Members who are going to post related questions about the kit and are interested in the kit or group buy 3: Members in the group buy who are waiting for status 4: Members who are in the process of a refund. For those members who don't fall into those categories You don't need to be in here stirring the pot with off topic or negative comments. I would truly appreciate everyones cooperation so it WE could avoid any unpleasant action taken. I keep seeing people talking about refunds and complaining about restocking fees from people that paid with a credit card. It seems that a lot of you fail to realize or consider the credit card processing fees that gtm has to pay whenever they refund you. Sure 25% may seem high but its there to discourage you from changing your mind and tying up their money, if there is no restocking fee a refund could potentially cost them a couple hundred dollars.

It's like mind blowing that people are getting pissed of on the forum and pissed they don't get replies from GTM.
I just called them. Sam picked up after the 2nd or 3rd ring. Very nice, polite, understanding of peoples' frustrations with them. Guys, (and I know some of you have done it) but pick up the phone and just call them... I did also ask and suggest that Sam gives some sort of update, anything would ease or minds more than silence. Just don't be lazy as the consumer, just give them a call :tiphat: |

It's never a problem to get a hold of Sam. I think many on the forum are getting upset because this is where the group buy started and the hub for information so to speak. Many questions could easily be answered to the masses instead of everyone calling and asking GTM the same questions. Others like myself are getting frustrated waiting for refunds.

Speaking about refunds, that IS true though sam does answer on 2 or 3 rings although my patience is running Super Thin I've been waiting for my refund for the past 2 months. I kept my patience thinking to myself they are a big company and plus its holidays but like I said patience is thin and I will wait until next week to see if I receive my refund via mail if not another phone call but its ridiculous. . .

No consumer here is lazy. They purchased this kit months in advance. Not sure how many lazy people can afford to do that. This thread wasn't created by them. It was created by the vendor. It should be their obligation to update and give info on what they created.
As a consumer I would be more worried about them giving me the info rather than me having to hunt them down for simple information that the other vendors have no problem doing. Consumers work hard for their money. They shouldn't have to work hard for simple info that the SELLER should easily be able to give. You should hold the people holding YOUR money accountable and not the people who just dropped lots of money on this. Also I believe a fellow former buyer tried the "just call em" tactic until they stopped picking up the phone. |
Nicely said el! Very nicely said. I'll like to add that some of us did get our money back but the events, time, trust that the wife puts in your hands to embrace your hobby and money lost. Makes me want to make sure YOU the consumer are treated fairly.
