Not quite, the Greddy Turbo Ti-C comes as 3" as featured on Nissan's Project Z car, the non-turbo Ti-C has 2.75".
Would be interesting to 'hear' the 3" F.I. exhaust. It's non-resonated? Though, I only find the 2.5" TDX catback on their web page with a video of the (very quiet) 12" resonator option.

Would you consider the downpipe or test pipe to make more noise? Don't u have emission problems with the TPs?

I'm supposed to get my refund today, We'll see..:shakes head:

That is accurate.

I tossed around the idea of running full 3" turbo back, but it being my primary car, i dont think i want all the noise associated. was very close to pulling the trigger on the fast intentions exhaust.

I have since sold the gtm downpipes and have the z1 testpipes and will run oem nismo catback.

Should be sufficient. Dont plan on running more then 7psi with stg 1 gt28's on stock block.

The turbos really quiet the car down, and if you are still concerned with the noise level you can go with their HFC option that is located in the lead pipes to make it even quieter.

Yep. Between the turbos and the catted 3" FI exhaust, mines pretty quiet at anything other than wot.

the sound is probably similar, however with the downpipes you need to run 3" catback.

Alkatraz 01-07-2014 01:24 AM

Can anyone give an idea of the sound level comparison between NA with HFC's and cat back vs turbo's, test pipes and cat back? A comparo with the Fast Intentions exhaust would be best.

I'm loving how loud mine is right now and am hoping that it doesn't quieten down too much with the turbo's and TP's. With cops behind me they don't blink an eyelid but if I get on it, everyone looks :P

I've been trying for six weeks to get my refund! Can't get any response from gtm horrible customer service . I have been more than patient and have given gtm more than enough time to refund my money . Im beginning to think something is going wrong at gtm ! Starting to think they might be having financial problems . Good luck to anyone trying to get money back so far I haven't had any ! Thanks gtm !!!

After seeing what people have had to go through to get refunded, I'm starting to think they don't have any liquid cash on hand. The parts and equipment they had to buy may have made things a little tight around there.

Tb09z 01-07-2014 12:51 PM

That's exactly what I'm thinking might have got in over their heads . And by the way I don't even have a problem with them keeping my 25% which they made me aware of almost instantly when I requested my refund bit since then nothing!

Yup think about it, they had to repair the bender (not cheap), they sent 2 employees to learn how to run the machine (not cheap), and they had a technician come down to set up the machine (again not cheap).

Not to mention paying for the oursourced parts of the kit. Building something like this in these quantities is a fairly cash-intensive process. As a business, you're coming out of pocket early to make it back on the back end. Once you start having issues, it can really hit the fan.

fuct 01-07-2014 05:11 PM

didnt they say the bender alone was a million??? (i might be wrong)

09nismo498 01-07-2014 07:38 PM

I'm calling them tomorrow to see if theres any updates. i have been very patient with them, but my patience is running very thin, and i can't wait much longer.

Yes, right. Also running a production ( manufacturing line ) of this many kits while ensuring the best quality possible is even much more complex. GTM is conducting the entire operation on a very tight budget and this is the result.

But I don't blame them since cash is very , very difficult to come by now a day and no venture capitalists are willing to risk on this kind of business. I know some of you are pretty agitated and I can understand that completely. Let's just hope that they will hold themselves together and come out with a killer product by the end. I am still patient with them... at least for another while.

im just curious would the catted fi exhaust eliminate CEL light from coming on?

No, the cats are way downstream past the O2 sensors. The CEL for not having cats is turned off on turbo kits anyway.

Agreed. While I am also becoming impatient, I still hold out hope for a kit that can deliver. For the price point, I am still happy with my pre-order buy in. Cast parts, GT series turbos, baffled oil pan? Can't argue with that. Add in your own oil cooler and supporting mods, and it's a fully done build.

Chuck33079 01-08-2014 09:59 AM

If there's no free cash for a refund, there's no free cash to sue for. The only ones who would make anything off that would be the lawyers.

Dzel 01-08-2014 10:14 AM

It's a bad time for everyone involved at this point. I'm one of the lucky ones that got his money back in a respectable amount of time

There would be physical assets (inventory, equipment, etc), but good luck getting in line for anything from that.

ok guys, i just got off the phone with sam, and thought i would post what we talked about so everyone could maybe get a little more excited and maybe make this thread a little less depressing lol. talked to him for a good 15 or 20 minutes. answered the phone right away with no delays. first off, i know they are really busy with all kinds of things, and maybe they don't have much time to get on the forums and post but he had no problems taking the time to talk to me. all i can say is if anyone wants updates, just give them a call. I'm not relying on this thread anymore for updates, if i need an update, i will call him or mike directly.
anyways, down to the good stuff...

i was told by sam that everything is going smoothly now that the holidays are over, and all the bender problems and all that are behind them. the cast pieces are starting to come in. still no exact shipping date, which is fine with me now that i have talked to him. he told me to expect all the final details with shipping, and payments and all that to be ironed out by the end of the month. I'm really really hoping they get the kits shipped out in february, and from the way it sounds, it could be a very good possibility. he also told me there are no new problems or delays, which is definitely good, they are just waiting on the rest of the outsourced parts. obviously they will be shipping out the kits in the order you signed up for the group by, and also in the order of who is fully paid. I'm fully paid, and I'm number 36 on the list, so hopefully i will be in the beginning. so it looks like we are getting one step closer to being boosted guys! :driving:

thanks again sam for taking the time out of your busy day to answer my questions! :tiphat:

BlkNismo 01-08-2014 01:21 PM

Im fully paid and #52 on list. Im sure I have been bumped up signifcantly since the beginning in July 2013.

Yea, I think the majority of the people on this group buy haven't paid anything yet. thats good for the people that have already paid though!

Alstann 01-08-2014 03:44 PM

Im so happy to hear this. I am also gonna give them a ring tomorrow to ask them about a few things, and hear from Sam/Mike. At this rate, i reckon ill be top five in line. Paid day one they took money. ;)

V1H 01-08-2014 04:16 PM

Oh that's really exciting news :excited:
I'd still love to get onto the group buy list.

Z eliminator 01-08-2014 04:53 PM

You guys must be really disappointed that GTM is alive and well. Ive being doing buisness with GTM for almost 10 years now.
Sam has yet to disapoint me by not getting my engine's and all the other parts that i have bought from him.
To date over $50.000.00 and i have more part being ordered soon.
Every part was sent to me in perfect working condition and it fit perfectly. There were many delays in reciveing some of the parts. Some over a year. And there was a good reason why they took forever to get to me. " beacuase he wanted them to be perfect " and if he had to make a change to improve it them he did. Eg, the stage 4 transmion. I waited a long time for it, and it was worth it. What a great product. The hold up was the converter. he explained to me that he certain parts are made by other company's and they are always late getting him the parts.
After i got the Uprev i had trouble geting it to work. he spent 1 hour with me on the PC and phone as he walked me through it.
I use GTM because he is the best and the only shop to use. Every body out there has a bad service record , some are terrible. in the aftermarket industry not every things right all the time.
He has never let me down. Has ajusted invoices for credit.
In this game it cost money to go fast and modified cars will brake.
Im not a GTM lover. i have a stillen SC on my 350z and there was lots of things that broke on it. They fixed it and i still by there products.

I remember that Sam mentioned about 100 pages back that I was near the top of the list due to paying so early. With the drop outs I must be at least top 5 by now too! :woot:

Once the kits start shipping, the installation races will be on like donkey kong! Knowing my luck, my kit will probably sit in customs for a month before they release it! After going through these delays I think that some poor customs girl would be getting a mouth full from me if that were to happen :P

Probably best to call and ask GTM for their supplier list if you want an answer to that one.

I can guess at some though, like Turbosmart and Tial BOV's coming from Turbosmart and Tial...:P

I'm happy! :)

I will be installing twin turbo's on my car sometime soon and then driving around for months with a grin on my face and a hard on in my pants. That makes me happy, therefore I am. :)
