It includes those, as well as independent buyers (non forum members).

Dzel 12-12-2013 02:47 PM

Are you guys worried about the group buy price? Cause I'm pretty sure Mike said they would honor the price no matter what happened

Not at all, GTM already stated the price will not change.

Why you're counting them?

Dzel 12-12-2013 03:30 PM

He's wondering who has paid in full and still on the group buy.

Alstann 12-12-2013 10:11 PM

Also, it's a nice thing to see who's actually committed and not just talking like they've laid down money and actually haven't.

I'm still holding out lots of hope - I don't have a reason to back out just yet, and I've been a good boy and saving up money to do other things in the meantime. Hopefully I'm going to have a lovely set of wheels come next year.

Look forward to seeing your car with the finished product. You've been hanging in there like a champ.

I've been paid in full since the beginning. I tried to pay them in full before they were actually taking payment but they wouldn't let me stating that people tend to get impatient with that amount of money out there. I've been non vocal and patient but I would be lying if I said I'm not getting a little antsy.

puckshaw 12-13-2013 07:36 AM

Guess what. Still no refund. It's been a month now that I've been waiting. I'll be contacting my bank today to see what options I have for disputing the charges.

I used a debit card. Every time I talk to Sam he says he's processing it and that it should only take a couple days to show back up in the account. We'll see what he says today.

Update: We finally got a response from our casting company today on the status of the cast parts that we have had on order with them. They are telling us that we can expect to have the parts within the next 30 days. The parts we have on order are our new, updated cast manifolds, new turbine outlets for the factory cats, and new O2 sensor housings for our modular 3” downpipes.

As for our mandrel bender, there have been numerous setbacks with the bender supplier. For starters, we were supposed to have the dies in hand before the end of this month as of their most recent schedule. That has been pushed back since the original wiper dies were not leaving a desirable finish on the bent pipes and had to be reworked. This of course was after our metal supplier sent the incorrect temper piping to the bending company to test the dies and ensure they work correctly. The bending company is estimating that we will have the dies in hand on November 8th. They expect that they can have the bender setup, up and running sometime between November 11th and the 15th.

Please be advised that this is information that is passed on to us on when we can expect things to happen. Given all the setbacks we have seen thus far, this schedule is preliminary and not set in stone. As such, this schedule is subject to change.

As we get information in that changes any of the projected dates, we will post up the information. Also, bear in mind that once the parts come in, we will need to process them all, do quality control and then start packaging up the kits to ship them out.

We have a system in place that will allow us to ship the kits very quickly and we are already working on putting together the components that we already have in stock in anticipation for the arrival of the final components. Without going into great detail, we have a system in place that will allow us to put a turbo kit together complete, in a box, ready to ship within 2 hours.

We will also be posting two new threads. One will be about the latest results from car that got our first iteration of the MHI kit. The car had 10,000 miles on the kit and we brought it back in to tear it down and inspect the system. We will be sharing what we discovered and give some more insight into this new system. The second thread will be about the GTX upgrade option.

Thank you guys, for your continued patience.

Whats the deal with the cast parts? Going on 40 days+ just waiting for the casts?

Alkatraz 12-13-2013 05:05 PM

I spoke with Mike about a week ago and he said that they are still waiting on the casting company to get thier s&$t together.

Any guys that bought tuner kits need fuel injectors? I have some Bosch EV14 750cc with pigtails. You will not find a better price. Brand new.

COSMO 12-13-2013 08:26 PM

What are you looking to get for them john? I may be interested if they can get me past the 600whp mark without running the duty cycle too high...

They will run 650-700whp at 80%. They are brand new. I know a local company that buys these buy the tens of thousands and there pricing is out of this world. I paid $550. Shipped to you $400. I want them gone.

Yea I would like to hear an update as well. I talked to sam about 1.5-2 weeks ago and we were pretty much just waiting on the casting company. I would think they heard from them since then... Sam, if we could get a current update on where we stand with the whole kit that would be great! I got my car torn apart, and all my supporting mods installed, all I need is the kit, getting a little antsy lol

good rule of thumb on pump gas for 6 cylinders is CC == max whp, so 750's should be near 100 duty around 750whp. just happens to work out that way

Trips, out of curiosity, is there anything the forum can do to "convince" GTM into posting more frequent updates? Maybe an email from you guys?

I think I speak for everyone when I say more frequent communication would be much appreciated by the community (even those not involved with this particular group buy). Especially given that such a large portion of this group buy was organized through this forum.

For the first part Im indeed going to contact GTM so they can try to be a little more responsive to updates.

I can only say that folks need to have more patience as obviously there are delays beyond GTM's control from what Im seeing.

I know thats not helping But that how it is in this situation. :ugh2:

From what I have seen custom work sometimes needs EXTRA patience. :(

I know the rewards will be defiantly BIG once they start rolling this kits to all that have been patiently waiting. :excited:

SPOHN 12-14-2013 08:31 PM

The forum is a middle man. I kept in direct contact with GTM through out my time. Everyone has a different agenda. As much as I wanted to go FI I got back to my sences and realized that NA would be the ultimate realibility in a track car. Plus there was some more personal issues. But IMO guys man up and get stern with GTM. Course that's not really going to help cause GTM really does have there hands tied waiting on the sourced out parts. Hard to give updated when they have no new updates there selves. If your not on a crunch timeframe I'd just wait. Most of you guys are still driving your cars. Mine hasn't been started up in 8 months. And I love my car. It's my life. But just hang in there guys. I know it's hard but do it. Can't wait to see this kit on you guys cars.

Dzel 12-14-2013 11:01 PM

Spohn, I think it is not about the patience here, it's about the way of GTM's communication. As a company you can not be such disrespectful to your online clients if you choose this forum as one of your sales channel.

Dzel 12-15-2013 08:07 AM

Yup. This is why I asked for everyone "that paid in full" to think of how many of us had paid. Now add that all up and tell me you guys wouldn't demand some kind of communication with that much money out there.
