You know what I mean I'm not the impatient one and I don't mind waiting.

megalapagas 10-16-2013 07:27 PM

This it what I need as a flange to merge the 3" external Dp to my Exhaust right? 3" merged to a 2.5"?

I wouldn't go with something that drastic of a change maybe something that starts with a 3" diameter and then reduces itself to 2.5" somewhere in the middle of the segment.

Agreed. They also sell/make megaphone-shaped reducers, I'd look into that as well. It would seem like that would be the best way to preserve exhaust pressure and not have a crazy pressure fluctuation when it hits a sharp size change.

megalapagas 10-17-2013 10:29 AM

Good thing I posted and asked, ill keep searching then :)

Got a picture by any chance to get an idea more or less? Thanks in advance.

Well I feel like I came in to this thing at the perfect time, got the turn key with 16gs when it hit tier 3 pricing and now I get a free upgrade to the garrett gt2860rs (0.64). I just hope it's out by spring of next year, waiting on those tax returns to pay the rest off...

Mike@GTM 10-18-2013 08:35 PM

Update: For our Group Buy members, we are now offering an upgrade to our GTX V3 Twin Turbo Kit.

If you are currently signed up for the MHI Turn-Key Kit, you can upgrade to the GTX V3 Turn-Key Twin Turbo Kit for an additional $2,000. This would bring the price of the kit to $7,595!

Keep in mind that with the Turn-Key version of the GTX V3 Turbo Kit, you are getting 1,100cc/min Bosch EV14 injectors and an Aeromotive 340lph Fuel Pump with 3" downpipes and external wastegates.

If you are currently signed up for the MHI Tuner Kit with External Wastegates, you can upgrade to the GTX V3 Tuner Twin Turbo Kit for an additional $1,500. This would bring the price of the Tuner Kit to $6,495!

For more information on this new option, see this thread here for the announcement: http://www.the370z.com/forced-induct...turbo-kit.html

Jesus christ GTMs business practices have the worst case of A.D.D.

Alstann 10-18-2013 10:43 PM

Ugh.

I guess I need to call GTM in the morning again.

-wetpanties-

BlkNismo 10-19-2013 12:38 PM

GTM, is it a possible option to use the larger single front mount vs the 2 smaller front mounts?

I like how you can choose your intercooler type with the GTX V3 kit.

roplusbee 10-19-2013 01:39 PM

All I can say is wow, lol!

09nismo498 10-19-2013 09:40 PM

The new kit is awesome and all but is there any news on the kit that all of us have paid for? The one that was forecasted for early JULY?

Re-read my post and the update. That update hits on their new kit but gives us no new information on the kit that over 100 people have already paid for at this time. The new update on that kit looks pretty awesome but I already paid for the MHI kit over 3 months ago and would like to know whats going on with that.

You're talking about post 1824. Post 1805 is an update for the MHI kit.

Good call, must have missed that in my weekly check of this thread. Thanks for pointing that out, lets hope for December. =D

I think after news about free garret turbos upgrade we are able to make the second upgrade to gtx turbos but for kit which doesn't exist yet ;) great! throw them some meat and they won't bark for a while... ;)

BlkNismo 10-21-2013 07:12 PM

anyone else prefer to use the larger single mount opposed to the 2 smaller cores with this MHI Kit?

EDIT

Dude, I'm sorry. I misread/ misunderstood. Yes that's what I'm doing.

Alstann 10-21-2013 07:34 PM

Crash beam compatibility all day every day

:D

elperuano 10-21-2013 07:37 PM

I got the big ol single front mount. Looks pretty boss :)

Master_Ly 10-21-2013 08:59 PM

Is it possible to update the original post with the ball-bearing options info and applicable cost for a single place of reference for those in the original group-buy? I think this would be very helpful and might help head off similar questions that GTM would get. Just curious but if it's too involving, then please disregard! If I overlooked it, please let me know!

Is this happening as we speak? Or are you just saying?

elperuano 10-30-2013 03:54 PM

He's referring to a member I believe. If I recall someone who doesn't even have a kit yet when he eventually gets it and when he eventually puts 10k miles on it lol.

No, Mike mentioned a tear down and inspection of their test vehicle at some point. It would be interesting to see whenever it happens.

elperuano 10-30-2013 03:59 PM

Ahh ok. My mistake.

It might be more likely that a member gets 10k miles on their kit before we see the official results though :rofl2:

yes this is what referring to.

SPOHN 10-30-2013 05:06 PM

It should be posted this week

Mike@GTM 10-30-2013 06:04 PM

Update: Things are moving along. Some of our guys are in Detroit for training on the mandrel bending machine this week. We anticipate the dies being shipped sometime early next week so we'll have them in hand within a week and a half or so. Once we have the dies, then BLM will be sending a tech out to get our bender up and running so we can start bending some pipes. :D

Also, our casting company assures us that they are on schedule.

As for the other thread on the initial test car, we have that on our "to do" list and will be releasing that as soon as Sam and I have some time to focus on it.

BlkNismo 11-05-2013 02:09 AM

question regarding the tuning aspect.....the base tune that comes with the turn key kit, is this only set for default wastegate pressure, assuming aprox 6psi?

i plan on running a ebc around 7 or 8psi. does this require the tune to be refined?
