I wouldn't go with something that drastic of a change maybe something that starts with a 3" diameter and then reduces itself to 2.5" somewhere in the middle of the segment.

Agreed. They also sell/make megaphone-shaped reducers, I'd look into that as well. It would seem like that would be the best way to preserve exhaust pressure and not have a crazy pressure fluctuation when it hits a sharp size change.

Well I feel like I came in to this thing at the perfect time, got the turn key with 16gs when it hit tier 3 pricing and now I get a free upgrade to the garrett gt2860rs (0.64). I just hope it's out by spring of next year, waiting on those tax returns to pay the rest off...

Re-read my post and the update. That update hits on their new kit but gives us no new information on the kit that over 100 people have already paid for at this time. The new update on that kit looks pretty awesome but I already paid for the MHI kit over 3 months ago and would like to know whats going on with that.

You're talking about post 1824. Post 1805 is an update for the MHI kit.

I think after news about free garret turbos upgrade we are able to make the second upgrade to gtx turbos but for kit which doesn't exist yet ;) great! throw them some meat and they won't bark for a while... ;)

Is it possible to update the original post with the ball-bearing options info and applicable cost for a single place of reference for those in the original group-buy? I think this would be very helpful and might help head off similar questions that GTM would get. Just curious but if it's too involving, then please disregard! Update: Things are moving along. Some of our guys are in Detroit for training on the mandrel bending machine this week. We anticipate the dies being shipped sometime early next week so we'll have them in hand within a week and a half or so. Once we have the dies, then BLM will be sending a tech out to get our bender up and running so we can start bending some pipes. :D

Also, our casting company assures us that they are on schedule.

As for the other thread on the initial test car, we have that on our "to do" list and will be releasing that as soon as Sam and I have some time to focus on it.

question regarding the tuning aspect.....the base tune that comes with the turn key kit, is this only set for default wastegate pressure, assuming aprox 6psi?

i plan on running a ebc around 7 or 8psi. does this require the tune to be refined?
