Yesterday was a huge success at the dyno with cycy89's car. As many of you know, we have had his car for quite some time! The road has been long and the process has been tedious, but well worth the wait. The list of mods for this specific car are listed on the dyno chart below. To touch on the 7AT trans itself... The trans has been upgraded with Excedy Clutch Packs. The flex plate has been replaced with our very own "SFI Approved" Billet Aluminum version. The SFI part comes in very handy for you drag racers! In addition, our Trans Cooler featuring a Setrab core as well. The torque converter in stock trim work just fine and has a stall of about 2200 rpm. The stock valve body in the 7AT already comes beefed up over the previous 5AT and shifts like a dream. For now we are going to get some good miles on this puppy under a street load to see what she throws back at us. I can tell you this, the car is insane fast and that's at 7.5 psi. Though this trans is no DCT it has shown us thus far that it can handle every high speed shift that we have thrown at it! We will put the car/trans through our rigorous test in the next few weeks prior to sending her home to Cy. Maybe, just maybe we can get some Driveshaft Shop upgraded axles installed and go get that 10 second pass.
