GTM Performance Engineering: VQ37VHR Engine Build 700HP Power Package

A lean AFR wouldn't cause that much damage. At worse, it would melt a few things. If the engine was pinging, it would have pulled timing until the pinging stopped.

A lean AFR wouldn't cause that much damage. At worse, it would melt a few things. If the engine was pinging, it would have pulled timing until the pinging stopped. Unless he threw some 87 octane in there and went for a very very spirited run, but even then I don't think "that" much damage would be done.

I'm generally very very curious to hear what happened exactly.
