Anyone have a built motor yet for FI?

I saw your car at the down and out show it's really clean looking, just an idea for you once you get it fixed try taking it to HP logic

Yah that was the first time i had seen it finished and first time driving out of the show. It had issues with leaking BOVS and fuel cut coming on as soon as I left so I practically got to drive it back to the shop.

I am going to HP logic or Z1, I havent made up my mind yet

UPDATE:
they are going to just order a brand new lower assembly and just set the boost for 6psi and send me on my way. I still have to wait 3 weeks but its way better than 2-3 months.

I also will beable to take my blown block and then figure out how to rebuild it down the road when there is more money laying around.

Having a spare block is good you can take you time building it.

Mike, did you decide on HP Logic or Z1? I was thinking...of going to Z nationals at the end of September and having my car tuned then...BUT I'm not sure I'm going want to wait so long to have my car tuned since I'll have all my issues fixed within the next week.

I would suggest HP logic , as I have installed a handful of gtm turbo kits and they tune all my customers cars with zero issues.

Jason, I'll be seeing you soon. Dropped my car off tonight for some work and will most likely go to HP logic in the next few weeks.

Stats on the car is Greddy TT kit, 8 psi, 507hp
Visibly bent? My experience is that rods BEND not to extra HP, but to filling the cyl with fuel (or water). I wonder if there was a leaking injector or something and upon start up--BANG--the piston can't compress the fuel and the rod takes the hit. This will happen at any hp level.

A poor tune would burn the piston, but not bend the rod. Methinks this better be solved or rethunk before another lower end is installed.

Good luck.

Coop

Hey Coop,

Yes you can visibly see 2 rods are bent from lookin up into the motor with the oil pans removed. Im still awaiting to hear when the motor will be pulled and taken apart to see what else is wrong, so the car has been sitting for 2 weeks so far.

Hopefully you get squared away soon, then maybe we can compare builds as well. Well, when I get back from this glorious place out in the middle of nowhere..........
