Most people that run high numbers on TT'ed stock blocks(VQ platform) will never drive their car or abused them a track on a constant base. IF so, let's see how long those blocks will last. It is proven that the vq's can't abused when tt'ed on a constant base. If someone wants a reliable TT kit, that will cost nothing close to the stillen kit. There is no reliable TT kit at 10k lol, not even for an older car like the 350z.

I don't quit get it why people keep on crying about stillen gains. Stillen has a kit for the VQ35's and it is proven to be a reliable kit but with no crazy gains opposed to most FI systems out there. It's been out for years. Seems about the same concept to me in regards their new kit being offered to you guys. The kit is tuned conservatively and comes with a huge vortech blower. There is still room for improvement if people wants to play with it(ex:smaller blower pulley)

If you do the math, it was never cheap to gain power on a vq engine. How many of you have purchased, hfc, catbakcs, intakes, etc.. Think how much all the bolt ons cost you and make the hp gains/dollar calculation. After that compare to the price of a supercharger kit in terms of hp gains per dollar.

Stillen is offering a reliable COMPLETE kit with decent power gains, awesome customer support, lots of engineering behind their kit, testing, and reliability... for the price is worth it. I don't own one, but I've been close to one of their kits since they released it enough to have an opinion.

oh. really! I'll be as smart as you and get a TT cause is pimping yo!

I'll gtfo of here. no point on feeding the troll!

He's right! What's wrong with that? The OP Is trying to give a good review and some of you guys just like to throw a bashing party on Stillen when ya'll don't even have the kit. Let the people who has it bash. you don't see the Stillen guys talking ****. The mod should come in here and delete the useless post or threads from people bad comments.

Look man, if everybody will be nice this can be a good community. So instead of talking **** why don't everybody just share their thoughts and help. Keep your bad comments to yourself.

Besides acting like a kid and bashing on a product why don't you keep your immature comments to yourself. AWESOME! nothing wrong with it, but at some point whoever comes into this thread dont't give a damn about what you think...... Obviously, OP created a thread about the kit so people in search of the Stillen kit can get to know more about the kit. It is not a discussion between SC's vs TT's ... People like you truly screw threads that bring useful information to the community.

I have a few questions to the OP that I would like him to follow up on.

I know you mentioned about the slight knock and how it went away when you fueled with 101 octane and it mixed with the 91 octane and it went away. There fore after that you said you try to fill with 93. After you filled with 93 did you notice if the knock went away or was it still present?

Also I was wondering if you plan on bringing it to stillens attention about the starting issue(if we really want to call it that) to see if they can adjust your fuel trim for starting? Like I said this is a easy fix and I think you should notify them of it and get it corrected. Just for the sake of being, after that it will be perfect. Please keep us informed.

okay, i've got an update! i just received the tune # R8 on Monday. car is running just like before but a lot less detonation on low end. my hot starting is fixed so as the unstable idling. power feels the same just like before up to redline. just like the OP i don't care what it say's on the dyno, as long as it drives good and minimal problems i'll be happy. with this tune i can actually control my detonation by giving more throttle on 1st gear or reverse. by far this tune works best for me and can probably get better later on when Stillen and Uprev work out something new. most important is it drives just like stock but a lot faster and i'm pretty happy as it is now!

idk why the 370z is getting 375whp but i'm making 411whp and my car(G37) is a tad heavier than the Z. realistically i'm gaining over 100whp. now that's pretty good imo. here's the proof and i believe many of you had already seen it but i'll post it again anyway.

Man that dyno sheet looks like pure sex lol. I am loving the gain on it and I know that has to feel nice. Now my question to you is, the detonation doesn't scare you? When i was doing research on FI everyone was saying as long as the tune is good and no detonation I really wont effect the reliability of the vehical. Maybe you can help me understand this. Thanks
Frank

This dyno sheet is from july. 7 tunes ago y don't u post an independent dyno seperate from stillens? Like the dyno u got done at z car garage and your numbers were lower than mine and I'm at 377 and my car drives like crap from every one of the stillen tunes. Sorry to call u out but the thing that upset me with the whole kit is stillen marketed it as a turn key kit. And we both bought this kit as a turn kit kit. But we have eight different tunes and there is always something wrong with the tune and its been a huge hassle. If anyone buys this kit just know u have to get it custom tuned unlike what still advertised as a simple flash tune. Its been far from that. and once u get get it custom tuned u have no warranty.
I hope your happy stillen i took out my "crappy stillen supercharge"r out of signature since it seemed to really upset u guys and u wouldnt let me return my kit or help me unless i did that

Yes, after the track day I used 93 in my next full tank and the knock was gone.

The installer (Failsafe) has brought it to the attention of Stillen and I just received a new tune from Stillen along with a follow up email from Josh. I have been out of town and have not uploaded the tune yet. Once I do I will put some miles on the car an then provide Josh and Failsafe with feedback. Once I have solid information to share I will do so.

I am hoping my issues with this tune are gone and the drivability and power is still there, particularly the low end torque that dissapeared with R7.
