I know you can get some good piping kits and intercoolers on ebay.

Good job. The piping on the turbo setup should be interesting since its a dual compared the 350z throttle body.

so if intake filters have to go under car then IMO this is not a good solution for DD cars. Can the filter be put in the engine bay still?

No it cant be in engine bay as the air intake is in rear of the car.
