But since I already have the hfc's will that be a problem with this tune? If not, can it be retuned afterwords to include the cats or would it be recommended to wait? Or, for that matter maybe go with another kit once they are released? Rcz mentioned something about this kit being unmodifiable. Again, does this mean that I can't go back and make adjustments to include the cats?

hi kyle - can you please give me more information and show me what the heat exchanger/inter cooler radiator of the stillen kit looks like and how it looks installed if possible? thank you.

I thought I'd answered you before but I guess I must have missed it.

We don't have those pictures just yet. They've been doing a lot of testing with the car and we're trying to stay out of their way. Plus, Steve will jump in the car and take it for long road trips so the car isn't always in our shop.

We will have these pictures before we start shipping kits.

If you already have HFC's and you want to get in on the intro pricing then I would suggest purchasing the kit now, and hold off on installing it. It won't take long for us to come up with the tune for the high flow's after we release the standard kit. I'll know more on Monday when we sit down for our weekly progress report from R&D.

Wow that car looks AMAZING! Excellent work gentlemen, havent seen any testing like this with the other kit, but I guess thats why Stillen offers warranties with their products, they know it works and can handle the abuse. Quick question, when will the spoiler and side skirts be available? and are you guys planning on a rear bumper?

CGMobile370Z 04-03-2010 03:24 PM

I would like to hear the Stillen S/C kit at idle and on the dyno without all the music dubbed in to get an idea how much S/C whine there is.

Kastley85891 04-03-2010 03:26 PM

Dam, I am in PROC and youtube is blocked ;-(

Chris_1 04-04-2010 04:38 PM

Would love to hear it at idle also, I just heard the GTM, and frankly I am not sure I want to buy something that seems lifeless. We want excitement in our car, subscribed for video of idling and revving without the music.

WICKED_GRIN 04-04-2010 04:43 PM

^^ me too

StillenZ 04-05-2010 09:45 AM

Revving!!!! Idle!!! Video now!!!

Hey Kyle, I don't think anyone really cares if its edited or not anymore, if you don't post some videos soon people will start to riot, lol :werd:

I take it those are oil feed lines going to the intake manifold - which btw looks 100% better than that stock waffle ****. I wonder if Stillen would be williing to weld AN fitting so stainless braid can be run

[edit]
they are coolant

G Fo12ce 04-07-2010 12:26 PM

I think you mean coolant lines no? Also if those are threaded in (looks like they may be) I think you can get angled AN fittings to re-do the lines.

They are coolant lines for the intercooler.

Those are water lines. The kit uses an air-to-water system for cooling the compressed air. There is a water filled heat exchanger inside the intake manifold.

Like Gforce said, they look to be threaded and therefore you should be able to change them out.

jmlenz 04-07-2010 12:59 PM

Just noticed that compared to the prototype pics...that oddly placed support bracket for the SC hot pipe is now gone. Or just not visible from those pics? Nice touch if so...

Equinox 04-07-2010 01:00 PM

Ah no kidding, makes since, apprently in my smashed up head I was thinking about a top mount blower, and my brain was thinking Supercharger instead of intake manifold. Of course you don't run friggin oil to the IM, lol.

whiddles 04-07-2010 01:33 PM

nice pics

Definitely happens to all of us.

You are correct...We changed the charge pipe and removed the mounting bracket. There is still PLENTY of support when it's all bolted up.

Vegitto-kun 04-07-2010 01:52 PM

I love the look of the SC but its too showy. I would get red flagged by the car control the moment they open the hood :roflpuke2:

you'll do the same with either kit, so its not really a big deal.

whiddles 04-07-2010 07:33 PM

has anyone got qoutes on install yet? is about $1k average?

mndthegap1 04-08-2010 05:45 AM

the install time is between 10-12 hrs. my shop quoted me for 15 to be on the safe side.
my quote was $1275.

He was getting at the fact that you're still gonna get flagged regardless.

My shop quoted me 12 hours + 6 hours for clutch...
