Yes, thats what we've done... I"m gonna be getting my mechanic to call Stillen today so maybe you guys can resolve it then.

Sorry to sound like a noob, but the steps would be:

Connect wire to computer
Connect wire to diag port in car
Put car on "on" mode (start button twice without the clutch)

Is that correct?

Absolutely.. they can give me a call directly if that helps.

If you haven't already tried, while the software is pulled up, unplug and re plug your USB cable. Sometimes that will "wake" it up and show connection.

Thanks for the input guys. Will be trying that tonight after work.

connect a battery charger while the ignition is on while uploading data. that might help also.

So how did it go. Just wondering what you did to get it to work.(Assuming that you did get it to work since you didn't post again)

Kinda sounds like he is.. but he's actually not off base. I don't think it will help you for your issue, but maintaining voltage is something necessary, so if your battery wasn't up to par (the software looks out for this) it would recommend adding a charger to the system to ensure uninterrupted flashing of the ECU.

This isn't a requirement, but if the voltage was low, the software would not flash the ECU.

Additionally, I have only ever seen one blue gtr. It was a car that was painted by a shop that does a lot of work for us and they wanted to show us the car. That body shop is wet works garage...here is a link to a blog post we did on that car...

Blue R35 Nissan GT-R Visits STILLEN : STILLEN

unless I'm mistaken...that front fascia looks stock to me...is there another blue gtr that you know of, because that's the only one that I've ever seen!

Great place. I got my bumper painted and installed by them:tiphat:

lemansz20 06-05-2010 07:05 PM

This thread is so long, and I feel like nothing has come out or been done. Its been a REALLY long time, does ANYONE have this kit yet? Warranty on the kit yet? Engine cover?

yeah,
there is one person on myg37 from Florida that got the Kit on Friday...i have yet to hear someone else get theirs....Warranty, the drive train is thrown out the door once it's installed. this was told by a local and favored Infiniti Dealership. Engine cover has been told it is in the works but only Josh/Kyle or people @ Stillen know.

edit: just seen you are from Florida.
here is the link

Yeah, I'm sure kit installs will start popping up in no time since Stillen started shipping earlier this week or so they said.

Travis, I put that clown on ignore after he posted about 5 times. You are correct, what you have there is someone who could have made positive contributions (After his TT build I took him off iggy to see what the commotion was about). Unfortunately, a nice ride in this case is nothing more than lipstick on a squealing pig. He's back were he belongs, on ignore, and I suggest you and Josh do the same. Problem solved. :tiphat:

Easy, Lemanz. You are at ground zero, kits are shipping as we speak.

Awsome I am glade to hear of it. Also please don't stop there, if you can provide more info on this kit I am sure a ton of people would greatly appreciate it. I am intrested in what you notice with the vehical such as tq and hp gains felt. Also how is the response of the car.

Also just fyi for anybody that might not know, (sorry Will i should have asked the question of what OS you were using) if you try to load any programs when using win vista or win 7 make sure that you right click the program and run as Administrator. Also if that for some odd reason still gives issues, right click the program and go to Trouble Shooting, click on the Compatability tab and run in Compatabilty mode of windows xp. Either one of these steps should take care of programs that don't do what there sapose to do as for loading or downloading things. If you ever have a computer question shoot me a PM, I build all my own PC's and I am pretty well rounded with all microsoft operating systems. Also Kyle or Josh I would recomend that you put that in your instructions for the kit might save you alot of phone calls if it's not already in there. Just an idea and trying to help.
Frank

Ps Grats on the kit Will i hope that you enjoy it, seems like they did a awsome job developing it

Awesome suggestion.. I'll make some notes here in the office to inform everyone here, should have thought of that, but nice element to include if that is indeed something that comes up being continually troublesome.

Rep added..

Seb@SZ 06-07-2010 01:16 AM

Josh

Not sure if this was already covered, but what is the capacity of the air to water intercooler reservoir? Nice work on the kit BTW.

The kit looks great. I have a few questions though, mostly regarding Nismo fitment.

1. Will the front tower brace on a Nismo touch the water pump? From the pictures it looks like it may be close.
2. Are there any fitment issues behind the Nismo front bumper? My understanding is there is different ducting/plastic.
3. Does the intercooler require removal of the front Nismo lateral brace?
4. Do the low & wide style oil coolers (AE Performance, Central 20, ARC, etc.) fit with the intercooler?

I know Nismo fitment has been mentioned earlier in this thread, but I don't think the topic was revisited after the kit moved closer to release.

1) Nope, no contact whatsoever on any of the components. There is plenty of room between everything and the strut tower brace.

2) We have not had the opportunity to test fit on the Nismo yet so we don't know how the intercooler or intakes fit with the fascia or braces, we are not anticipating any interference though.

3) same answer as 2.

4) We have no idea and we probably won't know until a customer tries it...We know that it fits with our oil coolers and will fit with the Nissan Motorsports oil cooler.

We have worked on a lot of nismo's with numerous different parts so we've taken those opportunities for measurements and what not but we have not yet had the ability to do a completed installation.
