In road racing you are looking for mechanical grip and downforce to keep the car planted, there is a trade off on drag a top end. Straight line you want to reduce drag while optimizing mechanical grip, but you need enough downforce to keep the car planted. Straight line is for fast cars, circuit racing is for fast drivers. I want to do whatever it is I want to at that time. A full time track only car is not one of the things I want. I can track the car if I want, I just want to have fun. If I want to come down to Sebring and run, I want to be able to do that. Tail of the Dragon, no problem. Half mile event, I am good. I may not be the fastest and I am good with that. I just want to enjoy life. Everybody else can fight over the scraps, bragging rights, whatever it is they do. Leave me out of it.
