Not earlier. It has been happening quite often to see 5 to 7 visitors/Guests.

You don't have to worry about me. I'm to broke and Rusty is to far away to set up a turbo build for me in under a weekend.

I am cool with it if the person is a forum member. Non issue. I will share everything. I just don't get why folks want to hide or not join. Kinda stupid.

Some of them may have joined and are waiting to be accepted. We know it takes forever.

Maybe so, it is just starting to annoy me as to WHY..

On any of my devices, I never set “remember my login”, just a habit of mine, for security.

When I’m just browsing or reading, I most likely isn’t logged in, and show up as just another visitor.

Glad to see everything is good to go finally. It's been a long road.

To be honest, it is never ending when modifying a car. The faster you go, the more stuff you find you need to fix. Turn the wick up some more, more new stuff that needs upgrading. Hence, the Rabbit Hole/Black Hole effect.

Spooler 10-09-2020 11:11 AM

Car sounds incredible at 25psi of boost in the drivers seat. The blow off valves sound during gear changes is epic. Outside the car must be even better. I need 30psi, LOL

Spooler 10-09-2020 12:17 PM

Another good video about Cylinder pressure.

For all you diff cooler installing folks. This is what I have.

I got one of the first kits. There is no rubber insulators on my install. Plus I made my own hoses as at the time. MAM didn't have the hoses for the Z1 cover. I routed my hoses differently too.

I suspect the folks 'yayaya'ing about times are the FB, never gone fast in any car, crowd. Fvck 'em....:shakes head:

Judging from the videos I've seen on your car Spooler, I'm gonna need oxygen to ride with you....

We shall see. I have 3 gears I am OK in, I will just get a ticket. 4th, 5th, and 6th, I will go to jail and lose my job. Plus, it is very dangerous. The car is stupid fast and if it does something unexpected I won't be around anymore. Yes, I play. But it is not for long stretches of road and time. 1/2 mile events are much safer to do such. I am conflicted on "Do I even care". I am more like Nikki Lauda in my older age. I am OK with taking certain levels of risk. When that level becomes too high, I just won't do it. When I was younger I was no doubt a James Hunt. One ride in the car at full tilt and everyone would understand.

The Dragy time everyone is trying to compare now is 60-130. If I'm not mistaken, that's effectively a 4th gear pull. That said, I have no idea what 900 feels like and can't even imagine the traction issues involved.

Yeah, I can't remember if it is a 3rd and 4th or 4th and 5th. If it is 3rd and 4th I will have to reach up and hit the boost controller to go to 25psi in 4th. I don't have boost by gear.

What is even some fast times from 60-130. I have no idea.

High 6 seconds. Griffin Birk(shewantsthezee) ran a 6.78. I think Doug @ Z1(@fastlanedoug) ran a 6.6 something. It was slightly faster. I don't think anybody has cracked the 6.5 yet.

I just did a quick search and back in 2011 Underground racing took a Gallardo out and did a 3.04s 60 to 130mph. It may be faster now. So a 6.5s is nothing to brag about. It's slow.

Well, yeah, but you're talking about a $300k investment to build a 1500whp car. UGR packages are $80-150k just for the turbo kit and build, nevermind the expense of acquiring said Lamborghini.

And it's 3rd to 4th

Kojack 10-12-2020 02:04 PM

I think Shane with G37 sedan on IPT trans made low 6's

Yes, that's the 1. I knew the "record" was just broken a few days ago, but couldn't find the post. What's his IG?

Update: Doug ran a 6.63. Shane ran a 6.19. I was mistaken, didn't realize it was that big of a gap.

Griffin's and Doug's cars are both 6MT vs Shane's 7AT.

Do any one of these guys have built motors or are they all stock block?

Shewantsthezee is stock block. He broke his trans today. He loves flat footed shifting. :icon14: I think he's building his motor next year.

Low 3’s are the new 6’s lol. Just not that long ago 1k whp street car is enough to get famous at TX2K. Now, these FI’d UFO’s are pulling these 3’s 60-130 at will, on freeways....Calvo Motorsports Vipers, UR and Sheepy Racing Lambos, and the various 1700+ whp GTR’s...customers’ cars (not dedicated shop cars)...speechless

Edit: Rant over, back on topic...

I know FastlaneDoug is also on stock block. I'll feel bad for thinking about beating up on these guys. Hmm, be like bring a knife to a gun fight for them.

Yeah, If I can't run a 4.xx I won't even post it. Show everyone my fast car is slow. LOL

For big power 60-130, what do you think the limiting factor is for the Z? My guess would be downforce/aero? Rear suspension geometry maybe?

The Calvo vipers are putting power down at 60mph, but the ones I see do have huge wings and sequential boxes though. 4’s range 60-130 will shake up the Z world, but probably attract lots of flies too haha.

Shewantsthezee says his car is 700whp and the best he can do is high 6's. I'd think it should be doing better than that.

2000~2500 HP street cars is the new norm now.:icon14: When the factories restarted the HP wars, things just took off. Insurance companies be damn.

I guess that is due to NO TQ and detuned to keep it alive. It may show 700hp on the dyno but the performance is not there. I'll be glad to put the stock block
crap to bed. It's about time.

Traction is the biggest hurdle.
