It will of course get logged from a stop, but you will probably get a little bit better time by starting from a roll since your intercooler will have a little less heat soak. If I just want a 60-130 I usually floor it from about 45 or so, so that as you cross the 60mph threshold you want to already be at full power. Some guys want to actually start at 60, to account for turbo lag... that isnt the standard so you will have a hard time finding comparisons of that.

At 4k RPM I have no turbo lag.

Sometimes you can be tempted to have a reflex shut down as soon as you see 130 but if your speedo is off at all that could rob you from getting the recording, which would be a damn shame to lose if you had a perfect pass going. You can wait until the 60-130 pops up on the drag screen (you wont hear the lady say "130" over the engine unless maybe you turn your radio all the way up). If you notice in the video I just linked I went like 154-155 even though the 1/4 was done at like 144, result of having lost a couple good pulls to shutting down early.

Where did you mount your Dragy? Outside the car? I was thinking on the roof.

The Dragy is going to be awesome. Wish I had my Welds and MT Street R's in hand now.

The GTR has a subwoofer box between the 2 back seats. The top surface of that box is where I have it. Its sort of an extension of the rear windshield deck. The magnetic sticker stuck to it well enough.

I am not so sure the magnet is strong enough to keep that thing on the roof. Honestly lots of guys just toss them in the cup holder. Motorcycle guys are known for just keeping it in their pocket. I have done the cup holder a few times, even left it on the passenger seat before, and not personally noticed any discrepancies or inconsistencies in the data. It doesnt seem to matter much. But when I am serious about it, I put it in my rear deck spot I mentioned, just in case it effects the numbers.

Now that we are talking about it, I want to try it with a good phone mount. I have wondered if the Dragy uses the phones accelerometers for some of the data. If it does, having the phone mounted rigid might reduce some of the waviness in my acceleration G graph that could perhaps be the result of me holding the phone thus dampening the acceleration G and making it wavy as my arm moves around.

Man!! Listening to you guys, I'm gonna go our and setup my draggy now. Gotta wait for my laptop to charge so I can load this new re-tune from Seb for the intake manifold though.

Join the Dragy groups on facebook, and use the social media section of the Dragy app to find users to subscribe to. Seeing everyone elses posts makes you want to keep up-to-date stats on your car so you know where you stack up. Just make sure and ignore the built GT-Rs and modified superbikes, those guys are in the low to high 2 second 60-130. I follow the DragTimes channel on YouTube.. that guy sticks a Dragy in every car he gets behind the wheel of, most of them being vehicles you wont see stats on often at all... though he is often at the drag strip, so its prepped surface can really help RWD cars do things they couldnt do on the street.

I mean I know some individuals who occasionally post a Dragy run on their IG Feed. But since IG pages dont support public posts, I dont imagine you could have a group on there where you get random people posting their cars with dragy screenshots

Just keep up with me on Instagram to see how I do.

I watch DragTimes on Youtube also. Cool guy.

I am all setup. My phone mount is not that great. It is a vent mount. It's not high enough I don't think, but it will work for now. I am going to stick the Dragy on the roof behind the Syrius Wart... LOL

Spooler 10-16-2020 06:50 PM

I played around with it. The darn thing even gives you the DA.
