crap to bed. It's about time.

It's tuned by Moncef (Admin Tuning). He doesn't tune to keep motors alive lol.

For big power 60-130, what do you think the limiting factor is for the Z? My guess would be downforce/aero? Rear suspension geometry maybe?

The Calvo vipers are putting power down at 60mph, but the ones I see do have huge wings and sequential boxes though. 4’s range 60-130 will shake up the Z world, but probably attract lots of flies too haha.

Zs ain’t got chit for decent traction control.

Yeah, but it is very difficult to do now. My power level has come up to a point where my car is a handful to drive. I am going to do a few things to help in the future. Right now I will just keep testing the new engine build.

Him and Doug are both right on the nose of 700whp, and both manual. Shane's 6.19 G is 7AT. You're talking half a second to account for a shift.

But I do wonder...if a taller tire will replicate a slightly longer gearing, could you put a radial on and simply make it a 3rd gear pull and eliminate the shift?

If you watch that video I posted you can hear a 4th to 5th shift. 3rd to 4th is even quicker. A triple carbon clutch helps tremendously.

I can tell the difference between 10:1 and 11:1. Mark and I decided to drop the compression ratio to give a little more headroom in tuning. I notice the most difference between the two in the additional lag on tip in at lower rpm. Comparing the dyno graphs you can see it. I had to give up a little bit on the bottom to gain more on the top. No way would I go lower than 10:1. I am still not sure how I feel about it. For the boost levels I wanted to end up at I had no choice but to drop it.

Yup, Time to kick the tires and light the fires.

Some time clarification...

5sec very fast, 4sec insanely fast, 3sec fu*king fast

5.0 is about a stock Chiron
5.5 is about a stock Veyron

700whp 2010 ZR1 did around 6.5
FBO GTR on 93 did a 8’s
Stock 2020 GT500 did mid 5’s to low 6’s

And current street car record is a T1 customer GTR with ETS turbo kit (2400+whp) 2.55s 60-130

cv129 10-16-2020 12:22 PM

Mid 5 would be quite hard to beat for a manual, rear wheel drive car. So much easier with fast auto’s and/or AWD
