I wish more folks paid attention to this one post, out of ALL the sh1t you’ve shared, THIS is the most important piece of advice.

Then again, if everyone followed this advice, there’d be at least 50% fewer builds happening and performance shops would go out of business and the economy would crash, hell, never mind, everyone just disregard this crappy advice. :ughdance:

The gauge acted funky and only read 8spi so we knew we had to redo it without the gauge. They are working on getting it wired up differently without the gauge. Needless to say, the heads are for sure lifting. So, the motor has to come out.

So…while the motor is out, bigger better turbos, dct, and why not go dry sump while your at it.:happydance:

It’s fun “spending” your $$$. :icon23:

What the Fvck is plan b?

A. Dial it back to “reasonable” power levels and be boring at 800-900 whp

Or

B. By a Ferrari.

Or

C. TT lsx swap? :happydance:

It is due to the amount of motor redo's I have had to do. This will be the third time. I have been left holding the bag each time. I am not happy and my wife is getting pissed off. If the wife is not happy, nobody is happy. This is the last attempt to get the motor right. I won't be taking any chances.

Spooler 10-28-2021 09:50 AM

If I hear " I am sorry your motor didn't hold" or " I don't understand, it should have held" or etc, etc, etc. I am going to hurt somebody.

Strap a snap on battery to it. Same difference.

Use the same idea on high pressure steam piping joints. A one piece stainless tube circle set in a groove that is on both sides.

The o-rings of years past was made from copper. Known a few that used them.

Spooler 10-29-2021 02:33 PM

I have to pay for my engine to be R&R'd and the retune. I can't take the chance that whatever Mazworx does works or may not work. If it does not, I have to pay for the R&R again. This is my last attempt. I am putting the best I can find in it, period. SOHO will be doing the refresh with their TKM top fuel hoops. Just the way it is.

Sounds like the right move going with SOHO top fuel hoops. It sure looks like that's solved the issue

FWIW
SCE Gaskets tells me they are working on a vulcan gasket for the vq37

Quote:

Hello Shane,

Engineering has this project and it is being reviewed now. Things slowed a bit as we couldn’t get a right side OE gasket, but we have one on the way as of last week, so the project will move forward again and hopefully be finished up in the next 30 – 45 days.

Thanks,
of course, even after its made it's untested.

Good luck with that. I am done testing for other folks. They need to test on their own car and then tell everyone else how it does without hiding the results.

Spooler 10-30-2021 08:41 PM

About like the Dynasty head gasket fix. That didn't work either but you won't hear about it. I asked the person who had the issue and he wouldn't own up about it. That is enough to say what happened. Into the black abyss it goes again.

Spooler 10-31-2021 06:42 PM

Bank 1 sensor 1 O2 sensor has decided to take a dump on me. Can't complain since it is the original O2 for the car. I have never had to replace them. I get a low voltage code and can see the O2 acting up while logging with Ecutek.

Spooler 11-03-2021 04:32 PM

I will be back folks. I don't give up that easy. Enjoy a little shuffle beat while you wait.

The research for new turbo's continues. This is going to take a while.

Spooler 11-05-2021 09:27 AM

Comparing Xonarotor to Garrett GTX turbo chargers.

https://www.facebook.com/xonarotor/p...3421050878815/

Spooler 11-05-2021 09:30 AM

I have the XR6157S with a different compressor cover so the turbo will fit.

Spooler 11-05-2021 10:07 AM

Xonarotor gives the inducer and exducer sizes of the compressor and the exhaust wheel which is kind of confusing. The exducer of the compressor wheel is used by Garrett and inducer of the turbine wheel are used by Garrett. This is the best I can figure. Confusing as hell, right. What a pain in my arse. So, my turbo's are comparable to the GTX3076r.
