No, I was trying to get something quick. All good, time for plan B. It won't be another cheap gauge either.

Spooler 10-23-2021 11:35 PM

I hate freaking gauges in my car. I just need to log it. You can't watch a gauge when driving my car. That's not happening. At 17psi you can kinda watch the boost gauge a little bit. Any higher boost, forget it.

C5 and c6 vettes had solid powertrains, craptastic interiors, but good performance for their time.

I had a C3 & C4 (78 & 85). My 78 was slower than dog crap, had a crappy respray & the interior was a bit ragged. :icon14:

My 85 had that gawd awful pad on the passenger's side. I took that out and replaced it with a glove box mod. I put a 160* thermostat in, a Hypertech Stage II chip, 25% underdrive on the pulleys and an epoxy plenum & runners. It was so much fun to see the look on 5.0 driver's faces when my 85 would beat them. :roflpuke2:

The big challenge with the C4 & C5s was the VATS, too many people kept half a hundred keys on a key ring and then couldn't figure out why the car wouldn't start. I lost count of how many VATS bypass cables I installed.

LOL, I am just doing my thang. Too late to change directions now. If I could have only gotten an allocation for a ZR1 Corvette back in 2018. It would have been different. I refuse to pay way over sticker for a used ZR1. I am going to finish what I started eventually. When I get it just the way I want it I will just enjoy it.

Also his car has a GTR manifold that is well known on our cars to loose power. I would be willing to bet for those reason right there alone that's why it's not a big difference from what you made on a dynojet.

He made 1007whp on that dyno dynamics. If everything was setup properly it should be about 15% difference compared to a dynojet. That would be around 1158whp on a dynojet.

Spooler 10-25-2021 09:19 AM

The reason I know it is around 15% is MA's dyno is a dyno pack. We check the numbers coming from it on my first build and then went to a dynojet. It was 15% lower.

Spooler 10-25-2021 09:24 AM

If anyone wants a set of FI stage 2.5 or the new stage 2 turbo's, let me know. They more than likely will be coming off my car next year when the motor is dropped. I doubt very seriously they go back on.

That is why I am waiting until next year, for the play fund to be replenished. What am I going to do? No idea yet. I have a couple of options in my head. I will need that time to figure it out. I am very picky when it comes to turbo's.

Do I need to tell you in a colorful language????? Those little Mother fluckers have got to go.

Bottom line is, I have outgrown my current turbo's.

This is what I was trying to point out before when you mentioned he only made a little bit more than you. The dyno dynamics reads low.

Hmmm, I think I predicted that you would run out of turbo when you started down this pathway. It's all learning and really easy to armchair quarterback LMAO

I wanted to push them as far as I could. I really like the response of my turbo's as they are. They are just too small for what I am doing. Finding something that will give me that same response is going to be tough. You never know what I may do. I will drive myself crazy trying to find the perfect turbo. Who knows, I may give up and keep them.

G25-660 turbos, will make 1150whp maxed out and out spool your current turbos. G30-660s for a 1200whp and lower backpressure.

I am already at 1150bhp. G30-770 will be my jam if they fit. Besides, I am not willing to spend the money to experiment. This is all on my dime. I know GTR's make that much but I am not willing to take the chance.

Too big for me. If I had a 4.0 stroker motor, then yes.

Spooler 10-25-2021 04:13 PM

I need to do some thinking on this anyways and figure out where I want to be when I am done. This has to end at some point. It can't keep going forever.

Remember that you are no longer in a rabbit hole. The rabbit hole turned into a black hole. The speed gravity there is so strong. It sucks the all the $$$$ out of everything you own.

Ugg, I want a Hollinger Sequential. That will be expensive..... No way I can keep up with the auto's and DCT's roll racing rowing gears.

LOL, I have a budget each year. I pay cash for everything. I do not use a credit card unless I need to pay a larger sum due to my debit card limit. I can control my own black hole thank you very much. It is the big stuff I have to save up for.

Spooler 10-25-2021 07:32 PM

The real secret is to not run up a credit card to do what you want to do. Save up for it. I have seen so many people have a problem and no money to fix it because they maxed out their credit cards to do the builds in the first place. That is when you see folks start selling things off and parting out.

The real pissy thing is I have a motor issue again and will need to fix that first before I can move on to the next thing on my list. That part is no fun at all. One step forward and two steps back. WTF!!!!!

Exactly, I have done the same thing. Paying for a track car with funny money is a recipe for financial disaster!

Jokes on those guys. I'm poor enough that even a credit line wouldn't afford me a TT kit.
