Is our stock trans unable to handle pulley swaps for more boost? 7AT trans?

Pulley swap, the trans can handle. I hope to be right around 500/375ish with the 9lb pulley, the Si trim impeller and TBatt's no-slip setup

Add E85, 928's impeller and overspinning it more, and you're looking at crossing the line. Looking at threads pre-SC install, it seems that 450wtq is the average limit for the stock A7.

Oh okay. I was asking because I am having a mobile mechanic who is experienced in SC rebuilds, rebuild my blower for me with the 928 super vortech upgrade I ordered. That and then I will do a pulley swap.
I still have a stock trans that ill replace next year (the 1000whp trans from level10).
I do have a stage 4 IPP engine but no upgraded trans yet.

Im sure I wont exceed 450 torque wirh what Ill have
a2a kit and 91 octane for now. ill run e85 later next year when i decide for a trans upgrade.

Thanks for the information!

Si trim sc, 9lb pulley, I hit 386 torque on 91 octane. Adding e85 brought it up to 440.

I wondee how much diff is in torque and WHP the premium 928 upgrade for SCi trim versus the sole SI trim is without 928?
And then SI trim WITH 928 is probably better than both of the said listed above I assume!

Like if I did triple pulley swap with no e85 but had 928 premium upgrade on SCi?

And 91 octane.

Pulleys being:
3.0 and 3.47 on supercharger side
9psi pulley on jackshaft side (directly on the otherside of the 3.0 inch)

I made 454 WHP and 330 WTRQ for 3 days before the motor quit with only 18K miles, Granted this was 6 years ago and before we all knew the MAF's where really in the wrong place :/. I guess I could say I help with us knowing how faulty the kits was . I also talked a lot with Top gun before he released his kit . I wish his kit was available back in 2012.

Stillen SC Build 500 WHP?

What? Your motor gave out because of the bad locations regarding the MAF's?
Or was it because too much WTRQ / WHP with what you had in your car?
Or both?

And yours was AT or MT?

7spd auto,, Cyl 3 toook a dump , I was driving getting off the hyw and heard RAPPING noise of the guard rail.

We all know why cylinders drop and the MAF's being BEFORE the SC doesn't help with metering air intake temp and pressure I was running 13 PSI I had all the necessary upgrades. Upgraded heat exchanger, UP graded MAFS. injectors and pump and still BOOM

I have been running stillen sc with topgunz air to air upgrade with stock pullies for 20, 000 miles so far with a stock 7a trans. It's a conservative tune just over 400whp and my trans is starting to slip and have issues. I'm getting the level 10 upgrade in the next 2 weeks. I thought the trans would hold up with the SC being low torque and a mild tune but it wasn't to be. After trans upgrade I'll install my 9 lb pulley and tune more for performance. I can't wait to see how she reacts!

Gives me something to look forward to.... 8k on mine now, with probably less conservative of a tune

Anyone know what parts of an AT can be upgraded to increase torque capacity?

I only see two items.

Z1 Excedy Race Clutch Packs
&
FI Aluminum Flex Billet Plate

Will these two items be sufficient enough to increase torque capacity for the 370z AT?

My understanding is the valve body is a weak point for failure as well. I know level ten also has a built torque converter they use on their upgraded AT 7'S. I feel it's safe to assume there are other parts as well but these seem to be the major parts they upgrade.

Ugh. I was hoping that the Z1 Excedy Clutch Packs and the FI billet plate (comes with Torque Converter hardware) would be sufficient enough to SAFELY increase it to 500lb Torque...since 425lb torque seems to be the limit for our 7AT
