Topgunz - air to air upgrade

Just to confirm for us California folks.... since this looks like the stillen kit (majority), it's still CARB legal?

I am sure the answer is no. Even the Stillen kit doesn't get the CARB sticker if you buy the tuner one, only if you get the full kit with their canned tune. CARB is very specific.

Unfortunately it will not be CARB. brucelidat is correct, the only way to have stillen carb is the 8psi kit and their canned tune.

True, but once you have the carb sticker you can re-tune and when it's time for smog inspection as long as you have the sticker and don't throw any codes then you're good to go.

But, it wouldn't be worth the time (bureaucratic bullcrap) and money for topgunz to pursue the carb certification as he's going to sell a ton of these without it, even to California people.

True. I still feel sorry for you guys that have to put up with the CARB stuff. Seems a bit unfair in that the rest of the country can boost away while you have to live with 91 octane gas and emission restrictions that the rest of don't have to do. You guys should revolt and join the rest of us. It's not too late.....

You did mention it but the worst part is you've got to tune for 91 octane (and our 91 is crappy) when supercharged. Which means I might just say screw it and go strictly e85 where I was originally going to go flex fuel.
