My shop just tried a 3.0" idler and the serp belt still can't be adjusted tight enough. Any bigger than 3" will have interference. Is there anything else I can do beside having to go ditch the 2.8" SC pulley and going to a 3.0"?

Might go up to the 2.85". Thats what I did with the 3" idler and it will tighten it up enough to use.

Ok and thanks for that info although I'm trying to see if I can get a custom length 8PK530 (8) rib belt first before having to swap out SC pulleys again.
