Topgunz - air to air upgrade

For those running the turbosmart dual port BPV: Here is the blue spring that I cut last. I only get fluttering when I manually shift (7AT). Sent from my SM-N910V

That's me. Need to save funds for the A2A right now and also subscribe to see the results.

Not driving the car too much right now but this is on the to do list. Charge temps are typically 140F when warmed up before entering aftercooler.

Shoot, I meant, I was looking at an A2A kit and Z Car garage worked on my car.

I was not there last week. I'll talk to Rob about who is doing it though. They might not be on the forums.

Yeah, maybe not. Dont bother hitting up Rob for it if he is not on here. I was thinking it was you.

Let me know when your ready to go A2A. You have all the parts in play for it minus some fuel. I'd be careful with that 9psi pulley and SI impeller combo with the water system. We have seen what the outcome can be.

Yeah, I know the potential ticking bomb on my setup. I don't push her hard when the AIT gets high. I have a sensor right before it enters the aftercooler.

I'll let you know when I'm ready to go A2A. PM the shipped cost to 94544, I see a number on the first post but not sure if that changed.
Thanks

All done with my pulley setup. It runs great. And actually getting 8 psi out of her with noticeable slip. Smooth through out the rpm range.

**Disclaimer** they don't make a 7 rib belt in this size. They go up to roughly 107" then jump to 113". I tried both. They didn't work. 6 rib belts come in any size. So that's what I'm using for now. It works just fine minus the 1 rib and have more traction with the extra pulley. You just have to be extremely careful to make sure the belt is riding on the same ribs of every pulley.

Check out Gates Serpentine High Performance Belts...

"Gates Serpentine Belt-racing Micro-v High Performance V-ribbed Belt "

Their belt design has a shallower rib so it doesn't bottom out on the valley of the pulley [substantially minimizing/eliminating belt slip at that point] but rides on the side walls of the V for more efficient belt/pulley contact surface

http://www.gatesracing.com/

I think they are available in a number of lengths and # of ribs, but you'll have to contact them via their on-line 'Contact Us' form to find out for you application.

You can always [carefully] trim down to the max # ribs your pulley is designed for with a sharp box cutter.
You've gone this far - that extra rib just might do you righteous.

By the way ... real nice install :-)
