When i had the turbosmart on i had bought the lightest (blue) spring and even trimmed off a ring and a half to get the perfect amount of tension on the piston head of the valve. But, i did have the SI trim and 9psi pulley so it was pushing more air at idle. You should be able to trim down any of the springs to get the tension right.

OK....have it at the softest setting and it's still closed. How far open does it need to be? Do u think this is the reason I am.getting high Idle? We ran a smoker and couldn't find any vacuum leaks. Tried doing a Idle Learning via EcuTek but the tests failed and made my idle worse. Now idling at 1400-1500 RPM.

Weird thing is this just started happening. When I first cranked the car my idle was where it should be.....high 700s low 800s (RPM). Thinking it may be the Throttle Chambers but I'm not getting any codes for that.

Topgunz - air to air upgrade

Try the idle relearn procedure, not the one in Ecutek. Nissan has one, you can google to find it. I have to do it every couple of times I reflag the car.

You need a softer spring or cut that one down, it should be wide open at idle.

Check the clearance from the cross brace to the throttle bodies. Mine was almost touching and was causing knocks and rattles. I used 1/2 inch spacers to slightly raise the cross brace and that fixed the problem.

Found the problem...one of the T-Blolt clamps was hitting the Cross brace causing the vibration. It's not a big thing for me as its only during the initial start up. Now if I can just get this idle thing figured out.

This process doesn't work as EcuTek overrides it now. One of my close friends that works on the car is a Master Tech with Nissan and tried it.

Thanks for clarification....I'm figuring by you and Topz response this has to something to do with my idle. I will try this out...hopefully it solves the issue.

If you are less than 11 lbs of boost you could try the PBV from the Stillen kit, I'm running it on my car and it stays open at idle without any messing with it.

Also if you are using Ecutek you can do the idle relearn and ecu reset in it with the push of one button, way easier than the Nissan way.

How do you do that?

It's in the ECM tool. After you detect the vehicle it's one of the options near the bottom.

Is that something you need a remote tunning cable for? I don't have one...

Seb showed me and said you should reset the the ECU after every flash before you do a log, he said it cleans up the logs.

Yes, you have to have a cable to do anything in Ecutek.
