If Seb is tuning the car he has MAPs he will sell you.

For the guys getting tuned on speed density; works best when its a hybrid tune using the (stock) MAFS when out of boost, then a 4bar map sensor and speed density when in boost. Full speed density ( no MAFs at all) can be kind of jumpy between weather changes

This is all based on a turbo car but I'm sure its the same for you supercharged folks.

That is what Seb does with all the cars he tunes with MAP. The "hybrid" version.

All good info to know.

Or you can always upgrade the MAF's. They typically sell a set for $700 new and $500 or under used.

Dyno run scheduled for Aug 6th at Z1. I hope I have the leaked fixed by then. I'll be pulling the front fascia off this afternoon and going back over all of the couplers. Then I will rig up a pressure test and make sure there are no leaks.

I do remember that a couple of the joints were not all that tight of a fit and I had to really crank down on the clamps. I'm wondering about building up the tube with some tape so that the coupler fits better. I'm thinking that the silicone coupler is not squeezing down smooth on the inside and that may be causing the leaks.

I'm open to suggestions!

If you've got couplers that want to pop off, hosing the pipe down with hairspray will help it stay in place.

TopgunZ 08-01-2016 11:27 AM

Just start with the pressure test. That will point you in the area of concern and go from there.

I found the problem.......the moron that did the installation (me) left the clamps loose on the coupler that connects the outlet of the intercooler to the Y pipe. How I was getting 7psi is amazing.

Now I can't get any traction to do WOT. Friday the Quaife will be installed so that should help. This car has become a BEAST!

TBatt 08-02-2016 10:20 AM

Will the FI tow bar fit around the intercooler on the A2A setup?

I dont know if it would. I think left to right would be ok, but not sure on depth. Id call and ask them if they would accept a return if it doesn't fit. They are pretty cool, reasonable guys so i am guessing it wouldnt be a problem.
