Quick question:
Is it possible to clean/change the air filter on Topgunz kit without removing the supercharger? |

Back from a much needed mini-vacation to Orange Beach, AL
Lots of rest, great seafood and washed it all down with some nice cold drinks! The weather was near perfect. For those of you that have ordered my additional idler kit, they are going out tomorrow. I have one or two left depending on a pending order. I'll have more available soon. |
While I was lazing on the beach, I was catching up on my Car & Driver magazines and came across a very interesting article on a CVT supercharger. The belt drive pulley attaches to a CVT that then attaches to the SC impeller. The article claims that the CVT allows the engine to run without boost at any rpm and then the CVT can go to max RPM on the SC in .4 sec to give instant boost! Sounds like a neat system if they can get it to work and hold up. The secret to making the CVT work was a very special oil that changes viscosity based on pressure.
Found it! http://www.enginelabs.com/news/insid...ng-technology/ |
But the size of that bohemith! Where would you fit it? The platform would need to be built around this monster during design of the engine/bay.

Details, details.........
You are right in that it would be very difficult to put in a Z but OH the possibilities! |

And are you running the treadstone supplied |
So what are people making on 91 with this A2A kit on a Stillen kit with 8 or 9 psi pulley?
|
All extra pulley kits have been sold. Thanks!
I have more parts on the way. |
Late to the thread but couldn't find an answer. Sorry if it has been asked, but...how much work if any, would be required to fit this to a 350z HR? Looking at a used Stillen kit
|
Nobody knows. It's never been done but I've been pmd that question about 6 or 7 times. I just tell them there's only one way to find out.
If your mechanically savvy then you can get anything to work. It might fit up, it might take minor tweaking, it might take a good amount. |

I would expect somewhere in the 475whp and 395wtq range (+-10) using 91 on the A2A system. PLUS, a whole LOT safer setup. 436whp is plenty for me right now, the safety is the biggest plus of the A2A setup. |
