Check out GTM Website and what they have to offer versus FI and that is including all platforms (AWD, RWD and Manual) Including Transmissions etc. I don't want this thread to be about who's better. Yes! we all know about GTM miscues and they definitely owe everyone an apology. |

I could start a company right now and create a website that had the exact same stuff listed for sale. And chances are I would have the same number of those products on my shelf as GTM: none

I didn't want to argue your first few posts on this thread, but THIS post I will argue you on. Just because GTM has a catalogue that's unmatched doesn't mean they can produce any of those products. After all, I sell unicorn piss to cure herpes and aids

The New GTM is under new management. Mean while the current management is very key on delivering the product on time and having the units in stock. If no units aren't in stock then no order can be placed unless you're purchasing an AWD Kit which is a custom kit.
New management doesn't require pay up front like the OLD GTM. I just order an AWD Turbo Kit and All I had to put down was a deposit. When the kit is ready I will pay of the rest. After all has been said. I totally understand why you'll are keeping away from GTM. I am not here to influence your decisions or sway you. No company is perfect especially in this type of business. You all are grown enough though to know how to handle your business. Last edited by warpeacelove; 08-02-2015 at 09:37 PM. |

Is it me or does anyone else find it odd that people post about the V3 kit being almost done and Sam leaves one or two comments? If GTM was serious about this they would post a huge apology to the community and refund people's money. This whole thing still seems shady and wrong. I guess there is a new sucker born everyday.

no1 from GTM made this post on the forums, it was a member.. they have a larger client base than an internet forum - just like an other business edit;so this kit releases in 2025 right?

In my honest opinion, if you want a turbo kit... Just go through Fast Intentions. They are actually dyno proven, produce parts and provide customer service. I waited a month for them to build me their first ever Stage 3 kit.

There must be some kind of rule stating that GTM threads not being locked solely based on being a GTM thread must then be forced into lock by the forum participants reviving controversy that everyone knows about already.

To be fair, the GTM kits (if you got one before it all went to hell over there and they sent out a bunch of FUBAR parts) work very well. FI is a better kit, but it comes at a price.
I actually hope GTM pulls their head out, since they have a few parts I'd really like to own. And I'll pay someone local to go out there, buy it with cash and ship to me. I'm hopeful, not stupid.

Another update on my particular situation.
Sam just called me, as you guys know he is checking in on here. He was calling about DE's offer to pick up/ship on my behalf and had a couple of thoughts, to summarize: - If that's what I really want to do, then it's OK but obviously not his preference. - Wire transfer is not instantaneous, may take a day. - Going through the package to assess completeness will take hours. He also told me that the package will be assembled and ready to ship with a label already printed and tracking information in hand before payment is necessary. To alleviate the fear that I would pay and get hosed, he has offered to waive the credit card surcharge so I can pay via my AMEX and just issue a charge-back in the event that they do not deliver what was promised. To me, that is good enough that I do not feel the need to inconvenience DE. A couple of other things he said, paraphrased unless in quotes: He knows that everyone is watching GTM with skepticism. He knows that people have lost trust in him, and that trust will need to be earned back if possible. He believes GTM was, at one point, the "top dog" in this area, but has "lost the throne". He seemed very sincere to me - but that doesn't really matter one way or the other in the big picture right now... For me, the important thing is that I can pay via credit card so I feel protected enough to go through with the deal. I still plan to wait until the instructions are complete and the kit begins hitting customers hands before I complete my purchase. It's possible I won't even have an opportunity to install (DIY) until Christmas anyway. Before you crank up the flame thrower, I am just reporting on a conversation I had and how I am moving forward. I am not attacking or defending anyone. I'll keep you guys updated..
