Before you buy anything, Im going to work on the pulley setup tonight.

Ill tell you what works and what doesn't, then we can go from there.

JWillis72 07-31-2015 12:14 PM

TpgunZ, did you convert your Z to air to air?

Well, its in the works so not necessarily converted yet. But I have everything I need and its going on this weekend. Ill post some pics this weekend.

Thank you both for guinea pigging this, I never trusted the kit enough to go for more power but you two have changed that. I now have lots of parts inbound to go for it myself. I'm trusting Sasha's advise and have a set of PPE long tube headers on order but they are 4-5 weeks out so I probably will wait until after Oct 4th to start. I've already paid for a trip to Sebring on the 3rd and 4th and don't want to be rushed when we change it over.

V3 SCi trim (Stock Stillen impeller) is optimistically rated at up to 17psi, 1050CFM, and max RPM is 53K.

V3 Si trim (upgraded impeller) is rated at up to 22psi, 1150CFM, and max RPM is 52K.

You still might be cutting it close...

I have a set of used PPE long tube headers sitting in my garage and are up for sale and immediate shipping ...
They were in my car for about 15K miles are in really good shape.
Already have that 'nice patina' :-)

Please feel free to make an offer if you are interested in them ...

JWillis72 07-31-2015 12:51 PM

aaarrrggghhh ...
I didn't go for the ceramic coating on the recommendation of the tech who did the installation.
He was going to wrap the headers to save me a few dollars but never actually got around to doing it.

Top, ask Sasha to sell you just the pipe into the TBS.

It'll save you a lot of headaches lol

JWillis72 08-01-2015 03:00 PM

The pipe under the headlight, is that the intake/ filter pipe?

Yes it is.

JWillis72 08-01-2015 05:10 PM

It looks like an easier way to do for my car so I don't have to move the trans cooler. We were planning to do the same thing.

TopgunZ 08-02-2015 01:22 AM

Can anyone please send me the part number to the short sc belt? I thought I had one but I dont. If you know the best place to buy it from too, that would be nice.

JWillis72 08-02-2015 09:15 AM

Is it for the 9 lb pulley from Stillen? If so they told me it was the same belt?

TopgunZ 08-02-2015 12:09 PM

No the short one on the sc pulley, back of plate.

JWillis72 08-02-2015 12:25 PM

Evohunter posted this in his build, is this what you are running?

Im putting the supercharger pulleys and belts on right now at work, ill let you know in a hour or so!

EVOHUNTER 08-04-2015 10:54 AM

Okay, everything works.

2.75" vortech pulley on supercharger - JACKSHAFT - stock sizing - stillen 9 psi on serp side.

For the tensioner pulley Napa Part # USA # 36112 NBH Canada # 36112 UNR

JWillis72 08-04-2015 11:01 AM

Do you have a part number for the 2.75" supercharger pulley?

What is stock size on that jackshaft pulley?

stock is 3.12 on jack.

When I change the Jack to a 2.75, theres no way to tension the belt.

We would need a smaller belt, which is not made. So the jack has to stay stock!

TopgunZ 08-04-2015 01:43 PM

You wouldn't want to swap that for a smaller one anyway. If you do your back to the same ratio and will not spin faster. But you can go bigger on that jack and then you will and it will work with the belt.

That's right! I didn't think about that!

thanks lol

Update:

By clocking the volute 180* it hits the frame lip. I could cut this lip out and I think it will work. Not sure I want to start cutting into that heavy metal though. I think routing it the way Sasha did is easier. This way you only have to cut plastic. Even if I did cut that metal out I am still not 100% sure it will fit.

JWillis72 08-05-2015 06:30 PM

Are both of you guys on built motors?

StillenZ84 08-05-2015 06:53 PM

^^^ I was wondering the same thing. Looks like TopgunZ does for sure. Where did you get your Pistons and Rods from? Im real afraid to go above 10-11 PSI without a built motor. I was at 10.5 and put HFCs on to get me under 10 and will prob be getting LTH's soon.

JWillis72 08-05-2015 07:06 PM

I am changing mine to air to air with 1000cc injectors( they stopped making 850cc), long tube headers, GTR plugs, 928 impeller and Stillen 9 lb pulley. I'm trying to decide if should add the pulleys on the back side or wait and see how it goes first.

My motor is in the shop as we speak! They told me 4-5 more weeks.
This will be done next year.

As for 10-11 psi, The Bp kits are pushing 10-11psi with no issues.
Also Remember, at 500 whp they have a 100 more wtq then we will.

Im pretty sure there was a guy running around with 600whp on this forum.
hes on a stock block. If its done right, with a cjm return, tuning etc.. there
shouldn't be any problems.

JWillis72 08-05-2015 07:38 PM

I like the way you think!

See where your at when your at the dyno, Honestly, it takes 10 minutes to remove the belt/blower. couple more mins to switch the pulleys. You could
always buy the pulleys. Bring them to the dyno, and switch as you need.

This is what ill be doing, I've paid for an extra hour on the dyno for this reason.
aswell as other unforeseen issue that arise.
