Sebring doesn't know what it missed !

looking really good man!

Don't blow those a/c lines! :icon17:

Congrats!
How did they run the pipe off the sc? Its hard to tell in the pictures. Is it a 90* down from the SC volute, to a 90* that comes out from the well, to a 45* and then into the ic with a slight bend? |
Right now it's on the Stillen piece. I hope to change it but me and this shop needed to go our own ways before they could build that or the brace like yours. The trans is coming out tomorrow to go to Level 10 then the shop that built the plates is going to work on the brace.

What you are doing now is what BP said he was going to do later this Spring to his own kit?
Will you be selling the pipes or is it going to be one-off? |
No I had a local shop do it and have no interest in dealing with that again!

Stillen Air to Air setup
Top, I didn't read your post right. I'm not sure how it comes out the sc as they did that pipe last. I'm going up to the other shop tomorrow and I will get more pics.
It looks like a silicone 90 straight down out of the sc to a metal 90 in this pic to me. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/10...c4d2ddac2c.jpg |

This is the best pic I could get of the hot side. The wires are being moved. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Ok. Yeah I can see the t clamp back there off the sc. It is a 90*.
Have they started it yet? |
No, trying to schedule the tune for 2nd week of November. The trans should be back around the end of October to the beginning of November but SEMA is the first week of November.
|
Exciting.
Before you put the front bumper on and button everything up, you should run a recirc hose from the engine bay down to your bpv. Not sure how often you daily your car but if you do you are going to wish the bpv wasn't so loud. This thing will scare people and become annoying to you after a while. If you decide you don't want it then just pull the hose out later. Its much easier doing it that way then trying to run it with the bumper in the way. |
Oh and I just realized your missing a t bolt clamp on that other end of that 90!
|
Thank you for catching that!
I didn't realize it was going to be that loud, I will run a hose just in case! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
I found out level 10 now makes a 1000whp kit that shifts even faster, spent $1000 more than I planned.

dude that's crazy, pumped to see it done!

Did you change out your flex plate?
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
No, flex plate is the same. Was told that for a flex plate to fail, most times there are failing parts around it and the upgraded torque converter Level 10 adds will help add stability to the flex plate. Not sure if they swap it out with the 1000whp kit or not
|
No, they don't make one.

Update: The Z is running strong. Now that I have had some time to evaluate its performance I can say that it is a contender.
My friend here has a 2011 CTS-V with straight pipes, injectors, intake, lower pulley and tune. He put down 560whp and 550wtq on the same dyno. We took our cars out to a very open toll way interstate north of the city and had a chance to really open them up. The results were literally neck and neck. He would get me on the initial stomp down due to his instant torque and I would fall back to about his rear tires, but that is as far as I would drop behind and then we would just stay at that distance from 2nd through 5th. Pretty damn impressive to be hanging with that beast of a car with those mods. Basically, had I had only a fourth of a tank of gas I would have taken him on every pull. Vice versa however. Loving the car. Oh, and I put a Vortech Max Race BPV on it and it sounds much better. I think the Turbosmart Kompact is just too small. The 1" opening and exit can not handle the amount of air that this thing produces. Even after I got the spring just right it still didn't sound how I wanted it to. It sounded like it was struggling very hard to release that amount of air, and it was. The vortech has a 1.5" opening to get all that air out when it needs to. Also, I have accepted a kick *** position up in the Minneapolis area that I am super stoked about. So, we will see what this setup can do at only 869ft of elevation vs 5280 here at mile high! I am guessing I will make about 3 more psi and pick up 60whp. That 500whp mark is about to go down! Only bad part is I won't really be able to drive it until spring now. Not sure I will have it retuned before then. |

The F.I. Flex plate will be here tomorrow and so should the trans, I'm glad this is coming to the end. It will be sitting next week because of SEMA but the plan is to tune it the following week.

Good thing you are doing the FI flex plate because I just busted mine today. lol Pretty upset that Level 10 said I would be fine with the stock one. Taking it to make sure it is the flex plate and then ordering the FI flex plate from Kevin later today. fml

F.I. Flex plate is beautiful, it a shame it will never be seen.
