Hey TOP ...
Still have that brand new Vortech V2Ti - only been on the car for a test fit.
Should slide right in to your new set up and get you close to that 600 mark.

It would qualify as a winter project for you since there is a little fitting involved.

V-1 Ti Supercharger | Vortech Superchargers

This link is for the V1 specs since the V2 [for some reason] doesn't list the specs for the Ti Trim.
The V2 is slightly different in that it does have the quieter curved gears than the V1, and has slightly better overall specs.

It will fit the Stillen Bracket you made but since it is slightly physically bigger you will probably need to line it up a little.
It is Oil Cooled so you need to do a little work there as well.
I did have the Oil lines made up when it was fitted to the car.

Paid $2600 for it - any reasonable offer will be graciously entertained :-)

Top, we are thinking of using the Stillen y pipe like you did, you had enough MAF using it correct?

Bob, thanks man. Funny thing is I was researching that last night! I'll let you know.

Jwilly, my mafs were at 4.2v. You have plenty of room.

Something I just learned that I thought was awesome is vsr tunes their kit to the oem map sensor and don't use maf but do utilize the iats. Said they are good to 15psi!

That is interesting because we tried that. The ECU was still seeing the voltage off and would go pig rich but maybe if the voltage was right that would have worked. We ordered parts today that should be here Wednesday or Thursday so we car try again.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you bud. Keep at it. It will pay off in the long run.

The shop trailer was being used by a different shop to move so I had to use a tow truck. It barely got on without a front bumper.

The shop is saying the new y set up will be done tomorrow.

TopgunZ 12-03-2015 04:26 PM

Tell them to make sure they put the air straightener right before the y in the coupler.

JWillis72 12-03-2015 05:27 PM

You mounted it in the coupler? I told them to mount it in the y pipe.

I just texted him and he said he would mount it in the coupler.

I looked at one when shopping for the G. Didn't like the turbo lag.

Pipes are done, air straightener is in so the all that's left is to pull the y out and alter it so we can install the MAFs correctly.

Stillen Air to Air setup

We got the car back to the shop and were going to stick a tune on it and see how it idled but the battery was dead. We will try to tune it again on Monday.

After all this, you let a dead battery stop you? :p

It looks just like mine. No reason it shouldn't run.

So your going to modify the y instead of the mafs?

Might be tough. The holes will be slightly off center for reverse so you can't just drill new ones.

JWillis72 12-05-2015 10:19 AM

I wasn't there but I believe they modified the MAFs.

WTF The MAF voltage are still not matching, one is 1.2 the other is 1.8.

lj909 12-07-2015 12:03 PM

Dang! I'm hanging on the edge of my seat to see your set up work properly

JWillis72 12-07-2015 12:21 PM

I'm not sure where to go from here, I was sure that was the problem.

EVOHUNTER 12-07-2015 12:41 PM

The maf that's reading a higher voltage is seeing more air... I think?

have them switch the mafs and see if the voltage follows the MAF. this should tell you if u have a bad maf, or one is seeing more air.

which maf has the higher voltage, bottom one or top one?

TopgunZ 12-07-2015 12:48 PM

Your shop just called me. They didn't have the MAF's in the right way. I'm sure they had that screwed up on the first pipe too and it would have worked just fine.

JWillis72 12-07-2015 01:41 PM

No when they turned them around it started and died. The other shop reversed them. Looking at them from in front of the car the numbers should be on the left side of the FAM, correct?

JWillis72 12-07-2015 01:42 PM

I'm sorry the right? After talking to you they have them on the left but I don't think it's correct.

I think those are backwards based on some old pictures of my G3 intakes and the orientation of the sensor. I can confirm for you when I get home but that'll be this evening.
