Pump Gas ???

E85. 9 psi serp and 3.0" sc pulley. I have. 3.2 Jack shaft pulley at home. Which should be good for another 1.5psi. Then ill break 500.

JWillis72 09-12-2015 05:51 PM

No problems with belts slipping?

Zero belt slip. I have the anti slip brace.

TopgunZ 09-12-2015 07:54 PM

Edit... I meant 3.4" js pulley. The stock is 3.2.

JWillis72 09-12-2015 07:57 PM

Where did you get the bigger Jack shaft pulley? Seeing your numbers I'm realizing I need to send my 7AT to level 10.

My Transmission is with them as we speak.

Stillen Air to Air setup

Really, when did you send it to them? I've been trying to make Sebring the first weekend of October but it's not looking like that will happen so when the pipes are done I'm thinking we will send them the trans. Seeing Tops numbers I know it's a mater of time and don't want to miss mare track days.

Sent it Thursday morning and they got it today. They said will take them 2-3 days starting Monday and it will be back on its way to me. Im in Oklahoma so the turn around might be a little quicker for you in FL.

Yep and even threw in the Torque Converter for free.

Masterbeatty 09-14-2015 07:53 AM

Do you have any video of the runs?

TopgunZ 09-14-2015 10:10 AM

Sorry, I did not take any. Ill make one of my next trip after I put on the new 3.4" js pulley....when she breaks 500 ;)

You can get them from vortech.

JWillis72 09-15-2015 06:47 PM

I'm going to see what a get from the smaller sc pulley and the Stillen 9lb but now I know where to go next, thank you. Do you have a new dyno day scheduled? How does the car feel with the new set up?

I canceled my Sebring trip for the first weekend in October because things are going slow and seeing your number I think I would have killed my 7AT. Hopefully I will have the piping done in the next week.

Awesome
Gotta congratulate you ... ... you persevered and made it work, but not just work, you made it work really well.
I was also shooting for 550whp @ 14~15 psi [@sea level] with the built motor ... kudos ... the little V3 finally flexed its muscles !

TopgunZ 09-16-2015 10:47 AM

I do not have a dyno day setup. I am going to enjoy the rest of the warm weather with my wife and try to stay out of the garage. Besides.. I have to do some work to my truck now anyway. I bought some huge meat tires for it and I need to grind down the welds to fit them on...lol..

The car feels good. It is a lot of fun when high in the RPM band. My turbo felt like it was slowing down up there and this thing just climbs faster and faster..its a good rush.

The sound of the Mortordyne ART pipes is awesome. They are the perfect match for me. They are actually loudest at cruising speeds around 2K rpms. At idle they sound stock which is awesome because no more pissed off neighbors at 6:45am! At WOT they scream bloody murder and cruising they are tame yet have the aggressive note.

The Map sensor conversion has been figured out!

Using our factory MAP sensor on the intake manifold.

This is what I've done - Wire #3 SB - MAF signal. This wire needs to be removed on both MAF sensors. Your map sensor is behind your throttle bodies bolted to your intake manifold.

Your MAP has 3 wires, Ground, Power, and signal. (easily found with your mulit-meter)
Your 2 MAF wires you removed earlier need to be spliced into you signal wire.

Note: this only works with ECUTEK speed density tuning.

JWillis72 09-18-2015 09:14 PM

The guy that works on my car kept telling me that we could use that MAP if we needed it. Did you tune it?

No tune yet.

I could E-tune it on the road.

But im going to rent the dyno for 2 hours, and get sebz to e -tune me.

Nice work man! I might have to go this route in the future.

Evohunter... I have been playing with bpv options and experimenting.

Are you still driving your car with the turbosmart making turkey calls on high rpm decells?

The guy went on vacation and didn't tell me. It's been there for three weeks and they finally started on them this morning. Hopefully it will get moving now!

Sounds about like performance shops :rofl2:

JWillis72 09-30-2015 11:36 AM

My only question before we started was " Can you promise me it will be ready for Sebring the first weekend in October? If not lets wait.". They didn't even come Fn close!

Jwillis, That thing looks awesome! Cant wait to see the final product. Mine is working out great! My intake temps are amazing. I was planning on making a video to show them at idle and then on a hard pull on how effective the cooling of the a2a is.

I have just 3D printed a gauge pod to hold my Boost gauge, Oil pressure, AFR, and my phone to display torque for intake temps and other randomness. It fits perfectly in the sunglass compartment. I could make more of these if peoples are interested. Pics to come.

And EVOHUNTER, I have a fix for your turkey call!

JWillis72 10-02-2015 09:23 AM

I can't wait to see it! They are working on the intake pipe today. I sent my supercharger to 928 because when we tried to shim the impeller it was to tight and we couldn't get it back off. They are great to work with, they received my supercharger, called me for payment, fixed it and shipped it back the same day.

EVOHUNTER 10-02-2015 09:51 AM

HAHAHA the turkey call, so funny.

what did you figure out my friend?

TopgunZ 10-02-2015 10:54 AM

Basically you need to get the lightest psi spring they offer. It is the blue one. Then you need to trim it down to XX length. Ill have to measure mine but I cut off about a half inch or so. I took off about 1/4" and it wasn't enough so Ill get an exact measurement if you want me too. Then adjust the tension cap with the right amount to have it hold boost.

Bottom line is that it sounds amazing. The blow off is nice and clean and at part throttle it will not gobble you out!

I was within inches of buying the new Tial QRJ but held off and did some experimenting.

JWillis72 10-02-2015 11:47 AM

Please post the length when you measure it, I don't want my car sounding like a turkey!

Top, what did you have to do to the car to be able to run E85?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

TopgunZ 10-05-2015 05:16 PM

I have a 340lph pump, ID1000's, and s1 CJM return system. That's all you need.

I was running 533whp on E85 without a return system but my motor did let go and I think it was because my fuel pressure was dropping like hell.

JWillis72 10-05-2015 05:17 PM

ID1000= injectors?

Does the brand matter? I have deatschworks 1000cc in it now. I also have the fuel system in the car.

TopgunZ 10-05-2015 05:22 PM

In regards to the spring in the bpv. I think you have to trim it to fit your design. Since all our kits are going to be different it will act differently. I was trimming mine down ever so slightly to get it right.

Just buy the smallest spring pressure, blue. Try it out in the bpv first and loosen the cap out as far as possible. From there see how bad the gobble is. Then trim it down by 1/4" at a time depending on your results. I maybe trimmed mine down 3 times taking roughly 1/4" off at a time. It barely has pressure on it siting stationary but will push down hard enough to hold my max boost.

TopgunZ 10-05-2015 05:40 PM

Brand shouldn't matter. I just did some research and the Injector Dynamics (ID's) are supposed to hold the best flow matched.
